Title: scopophobia

i watched a friends copy, and we’re both confused over the sound of the first couple of songs, they sound overdubbed or something. Anyone else noticed that?

Yeah, many of us have already noticed it. It sounds a bit ‘clean’, doesn’t it? No audience noise at all, they sound like studio recordings (no live feeling). So it’s not just you, my friend!

Isn’t it possible that they just edited the sound of the audience out?

i think maybe the sound engineer didn’t get his thumb from up his arse til the third song, so they’ve (badly) dubbed the opening tracks. Still, apart from that, fuckin TOP dvd. How many bands cram that much stuff onto a dvd? And the show itself it fan fuckin tastic. Andys at his best when he’s all ranty i feel. Bit disappointed that he appears to have lost a little bit of weight recently, i was hoping he’d be headlong into his elvis years after the porker i saw on the shameless tour! Still, you can’t have everything. Shmickles.

I was actually wondering… do people chant “You fat bastard, you fat bastard” to get T? onstage for an encore anymore? Or do you guys just chant “Therapy? Therapy?” now that Andy’s slimmed down? Haven’t seen the boys live since Shameless, which is a shame (no pun intended).

there was a little bit of ‘you fat bastard’ chanting going on at the wolvo gig, but it sort of died a death.Maybe they were a bit frightened of the all new ranty andy.

D’oh! When I saw them last on the Shameless tour, people were chanting “Therapy? Therapy?”. Andy came back onstage for the encore and went “Well, I’m glad to see that the diet’s working” and patted his stomach and everyone started chanting “You fat bastard”.

I actually remember when I saw Pantera during the Reinventing the Steel tour, and people were chanting “you fat bastard” at Phil Anselmo. He didn’t know what the fuck was going on :)

ah, anselmo, now THERE’S a fat fella for ya. How to go from skinny and bald to fat and massively hairy in one step. Whats happened to them, have they properly split now or what?

I don’t really know. I think so. At http://www.pantera.com it certainly seems that way. Anselmo’s always talking shit about the Paul brothers. The Paul brothers are concentrating on their new band. I think they’re called Damageplan. Wait, let me check.. yes, Damageplan. And Phil seems to only want to play in Superjoint Ritual. What an idiot. Have you heard much SJR? They’re brutal and heavy, but I heard the new album and it was just.. not my thing. I like a bit of Vio-lence and Will Haven, but you can only take that stuff for so long.

I think I prefer Down. Actually, I think I prefer Therapy? :) I really like the fact that the DVD packs a lot of stuff and it’s really cheap, well I think £14 is cheap for a music DVD. At least they’re not KISS, who exploit their remaining fans any chance they get.

i haven’t heard any superjoint ritual, i have heard some down stuff though, bit too stoner for my taste. Whatever anselmos doing, i’ll rest easy if he’s got any fatter. And more beardy.

Yeah, he’s fatter than most non-SRJ and Down fans remember him. Not Eric Cartman, but… He was pretty ripped around Vulgar Display, being a boxer and everything. But then he fucked up a spinal column and couldn’t move as much on or off-stage and then he really started smoking weed and drinking beer… there’s probably a reason why he doesn’t take is shirt off anymore. I bet the Unscarred tattoo is all wobbly.

I’ve never really heard a coherent interview with him since Far Beyond Driven. He’s always slightly inebriated. Especially one interview on The Rock Show before the 2001 Ozzfest. God, what an idiot. He’s turning into Vince Neil.

Thank fuck Andy kerbed the drugs before he lost too much..

Title: Easter Egg

The tyre rolls in after a while and then the option ‘backstage’ should appear. You should be able to select it like any other option.
As regards the above fat, beardy rockstar debate I must agree with Taunty Dan, ALL our ROCK stars should be fat & bearded at some point in their careers. Fact. Shmickles.

Off topic:

Pantera is done. So is Down. Phil is concentrating on Superjoint. Their first album was good. The second sucked.

Dime and Vinnie from Pantera have moved on to “Damageplan.” It sounds like Pantera and should be coming out early next year.

Rex = MIA.

On topic:

Anybody figure out of this bad boy has been released in any country in NTSC format? I’ll import and region-hack, but I can’t play PAL. Sad Panda.
