folks, my world is crumbling down.

yesterday my girlfriend told me, that she wants to split up with me though we shared each others lifes for quite a time without any major problems.

We’ve spent the whole night in each others arms crying.

tonight I will go over to her place and get my stuff. until it’s time to go I spent the day listening to infernal love.
And guess what: me vs. you makes me cry so fucking hard.

thanks for listening.

It doesn’t necessarily take problems for a relationship to end. Love can fade away. Don’t know if this helps (definitely not to get over it, but maybe to understand her).
Life goes on (just a phrase, but the truth nonetheless).

that sucks indeed.

A good cry can help a lot. Talking to your friends aswell. But the most import ting to remember in the process is that life is not over. You may not believe it now (I know I didn’t believ it right after my last break up), but you’ll see.

just think of her bad sides, behaviors and tell yourself that she’s not worth crying. That makes you feel better…

few of us here have been there, we know whats going through that head of yours. The best advice I can give is stay REAL calm, and think things through.Dont waste your time away with bad thoughts.Begin to think for yourself and whats best for you, rely on yourself to get things done.Stay busy and direct with your thoughts.I know you want her back real bad, but if you show her you can live your own life she will hold most respect for you.Right now you probably want her in your arms and you’d promise her world if it meant you’d be back together.
This is love…But don’t bottle things up.Just relax, have a lost weekend with your friends, they help. You are not in the wrong.

the post was”how do I get back the girl I love” and people like Allroy and Phantom gave some comfort. If you listen right to the end of Infernal Love you’ll there’s a certain lyric, “There is a light at the end of the tunnel”
I highly recomd playing your favourite records real loud as much as possible, letting loss is real good for the soul.
All the best dude.

there’s plenty more fish in the sea

dry your eyes, mate

but you have to walk away now - it’s over”

i can’t tell you how often i’ve listened to that song after my girlfriend broke up with me…

When I first read up_in_flames’s thread, yours came to mind again. It’s good to hear that we’re not just a useless bunch of goofballs (except me, maybe :) ).

@nice guys: Sorry to hear you’re in a similar situation. Good luck to you as well. Lovely song to get you through this.

@MissCE: I beg to differ. Everyone you have strong feelings for is worth crying over. You just have to stop it sooner or later (better sooner, of course).

Given. But in most situations you’ll feel after that this person probably wasn’t worth all the tears. At least that’s what I’ve experienced.

this would mean, the chit-chat forum should be something like the Tower of Bable, with no one understanding the people from other countries, cause everyone talking in his or her own mother language? I don’t like that idea. allroy and Robby wouldn’t understand each other’s comments anymore…

Seriously, I know that I sometimes might drift astray quite easily. On the other hand, this is, as pointed out by my colleague in these long walks through various topics (see what I mean?), chit-chat, so feel free to communicate as you love to.
Hooch and Rene have said occasionally that we should try to remain on topic in the 100% T? area, I try to do that. But even there, this forum is about T?, but not only, as here’s a community loving to share thoughts and opinions, to have a laugh and even to get into personal contact like meeting at T? shows. So don’t be so harsh against private talk, just don’t read it. :)

@mr self destruct: I always thought thinking about something else than what’s troubling you, helps to ease the pain. In my opinion reading this chit-chat bit, even if ist’s not about the topic, is pretty relaxing. So in a way, this nonsense-talk is really helping the poor guy forget about it.

Or is this just an other way of talking my way out of it :)
