Listening to the new Fat Boy Slim album.

It’s quite dull. Advert music really. Avoid.

Aereogramme - Seclusion
T? (of course)

I couldn’t either. I’m not a goth, although I quite like the way goths dress and ‘gothic’ art (and off course clasic gothic ghost stories e.g. Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Edgar A Poe’s stories). Anyway, I think The Mission is great, but I’m not waiting for a Sisters of Mercy comeback either.

Most goths over the age of sixteen don’t go around feeling sorry for themselves or being really miserable all the time. A lot of goth bands often have their tongues firmly in cheek - the Sisters and Bauhaus especially.

No way. With me that’s almost impossible; i.e. if you’re referring to something I posted.

The planet of Bau. Over there Bauhaus is a new wave band, but if you want to call them a goth band, be my guest. I won’t condemn you for it. What’s in a name anyway.

Everything The Mission did after that was crap. I got into them with their version of Neil Young’s Like A Hurricane.
But then having seen sisters and mission within a week I had to go for Sisters as Wayne Hussey had turned into a boring hippie by then.

I’ve also seen Fields Of The Nephilim once supporting New Model Army. They were so pretentious. Their fans used to put flour on their leather coats to make it look like desert sand. Ridiculous.
Bauhaus are great (you have to love ‘em when you love David Bowie). I’d also label them New Wave ‘coz they were too early to be called Goths.
