Die Toten Hosen - Ich bin die Sehnsucht in dir
In my opinion the best song they’ve written for years. Maybe I like it ‘coz it’s not a typical Hosen song, i.e. it’s got good lyrics and musically it reminds me of American hardcore/emo bands like Hot Water Music.

That took a while, I’ve heard Hot Fuss about 50 times by now and to be frank, I’m looking out to something new by them. Well, I have Razorlight now.

Aaaah, The Mission
A few weeks back I really was into the “No Snow, No Show For The Eskimo” live-album by them. All the renditions on there are so perfect. Especially Amelia and Butterfly On A Wheel.
For the moment my fav song is “What Makes You Think You’re The One” by Twilight Singers.

Damn right ‘Somebody Told Me’ by The Killers is a great song! The intro strongly reminds me of Dancin’ With Manson though, I was really fooled when I first heard ‘Somebody…’ on the radio, thought it was Therapy?
Also like ‘Getting Away With Murder’ by Papa Roach, it’s kinda catchy.

It seems to be a special composition from a company called BluWi
Check their site if it’s really the song.
I never noticed it, was too focussed on the chocolate bar. ;)

On a good day, the song that I can’t get out of my head is
‘Cadillac’ by Danko Jones.
On a bad day, it’s ‘The Girl from Ipanema’ or some other easy listening classic. Which would be fine otherwise, but when you hear it over and over in your head, especially when hangover, even stuffing bamboo sticks under your nails seems more appealing. In general, I have the jukebox from hell in my head when I’m hangoverish… Anybody else have the same problem?

Did you know that there is a new wave version of Girl From Ipanema?
Did you know that there is an album called “Nouvelle Vague” (New Wave in French) with Bossa Nova renditions of New Wave Classics?

Bossa Nova doesn´t mean new wave in spanish…(maybe in portuguese). New wave never really got over here… closest thing to new wave was “el ultimo de la fila” (the last in the line, Manolo Garcia and Quimi Portet), and that was considered alt. rock.
