XL-brainiacs needed

#

Started by marja (sinner)

could somebody please help me with my XL-sheet I need for my job. I need to program stuff with the if-function, for example if that number is in the box, it should be changed into this word

Who can help me? Or do you people need more details?

Having linux at work I can’t help you at the moment. But as my pc at home is running under Windows I can check that out. If I’m not mistaken it’s something like VB Excel uses for those little functions.
If nobody else helps you out faster I will maybe this evening or tomorrow.
Though I’m not too sure whether you really deserve this. :p

That would be really nice, and will save me lots of work.

One problem: there are 4 possible contents that have to be converted into a word.

1=boven
2=oog
3=midden
4=grond

so when I type 1, the “boven” should automatically appear

Can you do this?

If one day we’re at the same concert, a nice belgian beer will be yours. Maybe two, that if it works :)

You Belgians are always trying to pollute the rest of the world with your beer, aren’t you? :p

I think it’s no problem at all to let your Excel sheet do that.

Ah, trusty old nested IF functions, you gotta love ‘em!

I think what you want to say is this:

=IF(A1=1,”boven”,IF(A1=2,”oog”,IF(A1=3,”midden”,IF(A1=4,”grond”))))

(replacing A1 with whatever cell you’re referencing)

:)

If this was C++ that would be so easy, but I’ve never used Excel before like that

First of all, don’t be afraid, it’s only a tentative plan to see T? in Brussels.
I’m quite a nice person after T? shows, it’s kind of a relaxed state I’m in then, just like after a satisfying ‘workout’.

I thought about that, but with botox or excessive use of eyeliner you might get rid of them.

Maybe we could use your snoring during the show as a cello replacement? :p
