Are we sure it is Amazon who are at fault? Did Spitfire deliver enough CDs into its warehouse, and Amazon are messing up the distribution, or are Amazon out of stock?

I usually go through play, but this time I wanted the ltd edition and went through amazon.de. Just glad to finally have it. Play.com still owes me my Hellraiser boxed set though the bastards.

Ooh, is that the one in the Lament Configuration box? I like the look of that, but there looks to be a whole lotta empty space inside (Three dvds in the space of about ten, anyone?) ;) How long have you been waiting now?

never ever order a cd on the internet. You will never get it faster than the shops. Only if the cd isn’t ditsributed in your area, it’s a good option otherwise, save yourself the trouble.

Sorry marja - Like Dano’s mates above, I pre ordered through Play.com. It was posted on the thursday before release and arrived on the saturday, two days before it was out in the shops. ;)

Well I just ordered my copy of NANE plus finally ordered Scopophobia, my confirmation email says it won’t even be shipped till November 1st!? How fucking hard is it to put a dvd and cd in the mail?! Is it run by the bloody Salvation Army or something and is waiting for volunteers to do the packing?! I don’t have any choice tho, neither were released in Australia!

Dano put me on to Play.com for the HA album, I also ordered NANE with play, and got that on the Saturday before the release on the Monday. Don’t use Amazon, they are a crock of shit, and also charge for delivery.

Believe it or not I have just seen OCFA on HMV for £8.99 with free delivery, but I’m stuggling to pre-order it with them. Play is what £11.99, and 101 is £10.99 including delivery.

I think Amazon have the wider selection, but would definitely go with play if they have what you are looking for on the site as it is cheaper in most cases (for brand new CDs at least). CD WOW is even better, but you would usually only find all of the comercial stuff there. In other words, I would first go to CD WOW, then to Play and if all else failed, to Amazon.

I remember ordering HA from Play, and got it a few days before the release date. Even though HMV is cheaper I will go with Play as I do for virtually everything, they are really reliable.

Beware of Amazon though, they actually add tax as well as shipping to the displayed price.

With Play, the advertised price is exactly what you pay (if you live in the UK or Ireland).

Very true, I pre-ordered High Anxiety with them back then and the extra charges were a pain + the used exchange rate (live in Ireland). At least with Play you know in advance + shipping is free.
