Rare Acetate For “Semi-Detached” On eBay (Different Songs??)!!

I noticed on eBay there is an in-studio acetate version of “Semi-Detached” up for sale. Is anyone aware of any differences in these versions and the album version?? I have an acetate version of SYSTEM OF A DOWN’S first album and it has unmixed, slightly different versions of some songs, different song titles and even an unreleased song on it. I’m wondering if this THERAPY? acetate is the same. Anyone know??

Here’s the tracklisting:

1. Church Of Noise
2. Tightrope Walker
3. Black Eye, Purple Sky (says something in parenthesis)
4. Titanic
5. More Than Perfect
6. Again
7. Cat & Thimble
8. Straight Life
9. Dark Days Coming
10. Don’t Expect Roses
11. Black & Blue
12. The Boy’s Asleep

As you can see, quite a few different song titles there. I know “Titanic” was the original title for “Lonely, Cryin’ Only,” but I want to know if these are the original demos, or are these the finished versions.

So we have Cat & Thimble and Black & Blue on there, but no Born Too Soon or Tramline — perhaps these two pairs equate to each other?

It will be really interesting for you to win that and find out what it’s all like…

no, as robby said, it’s nothing special… apart from the beginning of church of noise (which has the original ian paisley intro), the cd is very similar to the finished album actually. and the crazy song titles mentioned above appeared to be nothing but the original songs we all know…

(hey, and yes, i’m almost over it now - 50 euros - aaarrrggghhhh)

you can also get this by getting the japan verion of IL… it doesn’t have the Holmes parts either… plus 2 bonus songs!
