these star wars new dvds…

Mate got them so the other day he came over and we watched all 3 of them along wiht alochol and pringles!
All 3 films i enjoyed and think they’re great but the thing that ruins them comletly is the special editions scenes that have been added in. To be perfectly honest they dont look that great and they just dont fit in with the rest of the film. Most notably the scen in ROTJ at the start in Jabbas palace and this freaky cartoon monster starts this singing routine..he looks like he belongs more in Monsters Inc than he does in the star wars triology.
The han/grebbo scen in episode 4 looks terrible and plain embarrsing.
But the thing that surprised me the most was at the very end of ROTJ when obi wan and yoda and anikan are all standing as ghosts..the actor that plays anekin has been replaced by that actor from episode 2!

Wonder if he’ll now go through the orginal triology and replace Alec Guiness with Ewan McGregor?

Still good films though

I noticed that… it made the ending even shitter. In Empire they’ve gone and stuck in Ian whatsisname who plays Palpatine.

Shame on Lucas though, they should have left the Ewoks song in, I’ll never forgive the bastard for that!

Also on the DVD release, does anybody else think the covers look like somebody let a 4 year old loose with Photoshop? They’re bloody awful!

I thought the same think about the extra scenes - totally pointless - there should have been an option to play the films as they originally were

The thing I hate the most out of all 3 new editions is the beak they badly tacked onto the Sarlac pit in Jedi, originally it looked like a fanny with teeth around it.. weird but kind of cool… now it looks like fuckin’ Audrey from the little Shop of Horrors, you’re just waiting for it to squeal “feed me… feed me now!”

Lucas just can’t leave well enough alone. I hate the way they re-dubbed Boba Fett with the actor who plays Jengo Fett in Ep2! His original voice was menacing and mechanical.

I love the scene in the Clerks cartoon where Randall gets Lucas on the stand..blasts him for Ep1, and makes him give him his 8 bucks back..

I also watched the first 4 series of the Sopranos really close together… kept blurting out things like ‘badda-bing’ all the time!

A good marathon should be over in 2 1/2 hours, so you’re watching it on fast forward? :p

The fourth one is distracting for an hour and a half, nothing brilliant but there is worse out there
