I feel the same, SLC & Portrait were great albums, Antichrist had a few good tunes but haven’t been fussed for anything they’ve done since then.

i never liked manson..
he’s shitty.. and a bad bastard ;) = he’s not nice

i heard that he treats his band members pretty hard.. and that the guitarist wants to leave the band.. because manson gave him a punch or sth… :o

and for that ALONE.. manson would be NOTHING… (without his band)

the thing is that technically marilyn manson is the name of the band. It used to be Marilyn Manson and the Spookies, but they dropped the second bit. So really everyone should call the lead singer “Bri” (as in Brian Warner; his real name)

Pretty sure it’s ‘…and the Spooky Kids’, actually.

Manson first slaughtered Sweet Dreams, now he’s doing it again with Personal Jesus. But he still doesn’t get the ‘Worst Cover Version of the Year’ award ‘coz this one goes to H-Blockx and their version of Celebrate Youth by Rick Springfield. They are so fuckin’ awful, they even make the crappy original sound good. :o

don’t agree, in my opinion sweet dreams is one of the very very best things he has ever done. a truly amazing cover, especially the live-version with the hell-outro!

Or the fact that on his last album he looked like Papa Lazarous from the League Of Gentlemen ( you’re ma wife noooooooowwww… ).

Just heard the latest addition to the Manson bad karaoke show. Boo.. rubbish!

He’s not the anti-christ, he’s a very naughty boy.

I finally heard his cover of Personal Jesus when i bought Lest We Forget and i don’t think its as bad some do here.Apart from the vocals its really not that different from the original version.

I find Ol’ Bri’s vocals annoying. It seems that to make a perfectly good song an angst-ridden teen anthem you just need to sing it with a growly, demonic-style voice.

Taking the original score and just adding crappy vocals sounds like a bad karaoke show - so it’s typical Manson (at least for me).
