The opening from Nausea is worthy of opening any album. But taking the whole song into thought I’d have to go for Knives.

Hmmm…I’d say “Hey Satan You Rock!” It’s probably the heaviest album opener they have.

I’d probably say knives has the slight edge, but both Meat Abstract and Rise Up are fantastic statements of intent.

Whenever I hear “Meat Abstract” I do a silly, side-to-side, Michael-esque head bob, especially during the “droning” parts, as Andy put it. Quite silly, but great fucking fun :D

You can’t go too far wrong with “Nausea” either - cracking song.

It was fantastic to hear them open with that last time round. Neither Andy nor Michael spoke, just a tape of ‘Wake up… time to die!’ Absolute possession of the audience practically guaranteed.

There are no bigger fans of Andy and Micheal in the whole wide worldies than me, so be easy here. But I think T? openers are generally (if there is one) weak links to most of their albums. I think they all get better as they go on.
The Wildhearts opener ‘Inglorious’ from ‘Fishing for Luckies’ in my opinion is the best album start to any record ever.
