What do you think are the best videos Therapy? made?

1. Screamager (simple, but it’s a simple song, so I think it fits.)
2. Turn
3. Trigger Inside

I must admit I’ve seen 2. and 3. last I think around 1995, but they’re still better in my memory than the others, though I’ve have most of the videos recorded (except for those 2…damm)
By the way, was there ever a a video for Nausea? I know it wasn’t a single, but I recall seeing something on Mtv a years ago.

There was a video for Nausea, involving a lot of blood. Haven’t seen it. Haven’t seen Turn (is it in a swamp?) and Trigger Inside either. Saw all the other ones. Teethgrinder and the forbidden Isolation one are my favorites. Lonely, Cryin’ Only is pretty good also. Opal Mantra is nice because it’s very bad. The more times you see it the more you’ll enjoy it.

There isn’t blood in Nausea, it’s probably a food stuff like cranberry sauce or something ‘cos the video is set at a dinner party. It’s cool ‘cos you see Therapy? losing the rag and goin’ crazy - cool video. Trigger Inside is cool ‘cos it deals with a guy losing control. I like Meat Abstract ‘cos it shows Charles Manson - and anything to do with ‘ol Charlie is fine by me!

What do you mean with ‘forbidden Isolation ‘?
Turn is a video which also represents the song very well, if I remember it correctly there is woman seeing living statues (face the strange!)
I don’t really know what Opal Mantra is about, is it about drugs or something? I think of the lines ‘you just go get drunk…telling me you clean’
Teethgrinder is also very cool. I don’t like the Infernal Love videos very much, I heard Therapy didn’t like the Stories video and took it back the first time.

There’s also two vids for Stories - the first is the colour one but the second is much better..it shows Andy kidnapped in a warehouse and Fyfe & Michael beating on him looking for information. The two lads bring out a little boy, ask him a question and the boy points at Andy. You just know it’s all downhill for Andy then! It got banned ‘cos they kill Andy at the end.

Where have they shown those ‘Isolation 2’ & ‘Stories 2’ ones?
I have seen a bit of the another version of Stories but never that ‘Isolation 2’ one. I Must get them copied to my collection from someone.
Alan, do you have them both? Anyone who has ‘Meat Abstract’ on vid?

I ‘ve only seen the Screamager video.I can’t say whether i liked it or not, it was just too simple.I ‘ve also seen the last 30 seconds of the Bad Karma video. The strange thing is that i saw that in a TV show that broadcasts strictly non-rock videos like Day & Night, Sandstorm, On A Night Like This, Groovejet, Lady and pop stuff like that. The guy that presents the show must be a T? fan, i ‘ve even seen him in a SPYF T-shirt.

I think the Screamager video is just a parody on the typical ‘guys get their guitars and rock’ videos. Andy playing in front of a smily, different guitars, the way he waves the guitar at the end etc. I just think it looks cool. I was REALLY happy when they showed it a Therapy? special on TV so I could record it, because mostly only Nowhere and Die Laughing are shown in those specials. Well I can only speak about German ones.

The so-called forbidden Isolation video was once shown when Andy and Michael presented Headbangers Ball on MTV in 1994 (Those were the dayz). They even thanked the executives at MTV that it was shown for that one time. Iris was right about the pighead and the girl getting dripped on. It shows two persons (you always assume guys) wearing KKK-like clothes (y’know what I mean right, not Klan-clothes of course, but sort of).

Anyway, one day there’ll be a video or DVD with all their videos on it. It may come out in one week, one year or in fuckin’ five years but it’ll come. Just hope they put the Opal Mantra one on it.

Is it possible, with Limp Bizkit topping the charts here in the UK, that we may be seeing a resurgence of metal in mainstream, and therefore program producers may start believing that they could get a bigger audience with metal programs. I sincerely hope so, it’s about time pop got its ass kicked. ah, sweet utpoia.

Maybe they’ll bring more Nu-metal stuff. I think that is very different from T?. I like some songs from Korn (Good God is great), but Limp Bizkit is really not my music. They use more Hip Hop elements, I think. I hate that.

Andy and Michael are presentin’ videos on roof of some building.
Most of their videos there, including ‘Stories’ photek remix.
But I don’t have Isolation2 on that session. I have it on another cassete in really bad quality.

Yeah, but the drums on Opal Mantra are really hard I think, very fast. Fyfe at his best, that’s for sure. I don’t know if Graham ever played it. But then again, the drums in This One’s For You are really impressive too, the best I’ve ever heard from Graham.

Man, this is an old topic, I was just going through all the messages I ever wrote on the board (a very cool thing to do when you have nothing to do…), and it’s funny because I’m mentioning something about the DVD here, hell, it was two fuckin’ years ago… I’m taking about my own reply here, sorry, but with the DVD coming out soon it might be cool for y’all what you posted then.

Anyway, the useless point I’m trying to make here is that in old messages a lot of things were being posted that seem to make a lot of sense right now (and of course things that seem even bigger horseshit now than then…)

Cheers,

Old topic but cool. I like Die Laughing. It reminds me a bit of the KLF I think. Trigger inside is ok, but what about Loose? I think it’s loose, but I could be wrong, cos I always forget titles. They’re in a hotelroom and a lady gets killed if I’m correct. Doesn’t Michael has blonde hair there? I once saw one in which Fyfe is drumming on a jelly desert. Very funny..*

Yeah, Michael has blonde hair in the Loose video (Andy kills the girl, Michael & Fyfe in the hotel room), and the second version of the Stories video (Andy is the victim of Michael & Fyfe’s interogations)

Fyfe is drumming on the jelly in the Nausea video. Very weird!

Just in reply to someone up the thread who was talking about T? not being on MTV, on MTV2 (though it was about a year and half ago) they went through a phase of playing T? on Metal Anthems every day: the colour Stories, screamager, and a festival performance of Teethgrinder where Andy talks about Geri leaving the Spice Girls at the start!

Anyway, theres a lot of T? videos I havent seen (which is why I’m lookin forward to the DVD :D) but of the ones I have seen, Lonely Cryin’ Only is my fav. I think Screamager is a bit cringe worthy to be honest!
