So, not being as drunk as I was yesterday, I wonder who ordered that there weren’t any camera’s allowed. At the entree they told us that was probably the band who ordered this, but why could I take my camera whit me on the Tilburg gig than? Just makes me wonder…

@Rene: If you want some pictures of the Tilburg gig, just drop a line where to send them…

Great show. Andy performed the A.A. Milne poem (halfway down the stairs) again which was a long time since I heard him do that. They also continue to play parts of She’s lost control during Isolation, which is cool. Bring on Amsterdam.

Title: Fudge

I was there yesterday in the Paard as well and I must say that it was a great show what I saw yesterday.Great set of songs, and really well played.I was mad about the dutch audience, wich really sucks. The Hague shouldn’t have such great acts coming just because the audience is lame cold, and they are not worthy.
and Therapy, have fun tonight in A-Dam (I’m shure it’s gonna be even better than yesterday) and forgive the dutch…they don’t know how to make a band feel welcome…

Finally time for a proper review.
Very good setlist, still way too much stuff from Troublegum, but I can’t really imagine a show without Nowhere or Knives or Screamager. They remain the highlights.
They started braveley with three new songs and kept the Troublegum stuff for last.
This lead to a great increase of dancing and stagediving during the second part of the show. Andy was in top form, telling us about the last time they played in Den Haag. He got some LSD from a fan after the show. And the day after he had to take a plane to Dublin. When he got to the airport, still high and put his ticket on the desk, mumbling “I’d like to go to Dublin please”. The person behind the desk said; “I’m afraid that isn’t possible sir. This is Air Canada.”
After A moment of clarity he apologised for fucking up and saying that this time, it wasn’t because of the drugs…
IMHO, Neil was brilliant, I didn’t think much of him during the last tour in april/may. But his drumming last night was excellent. Teethgrinder… man…
I understood they played Skyward for the first time last night this tour, that’s cool. Sister was also a pleasent surprise. One song from my favourite album.
Also, Andy introduced I am the money by saying: “This is a song from Shameless”. Little cheers from the crowd. “Thank you. All four of you”. Then he explained that it wasn’t axactly their best album or something.
Anyway, a great show, the crowd was a bit dead though, Andy once asked: Should we pass through Holland next tour and go traight to Belgium?” That got us screaming.
Too bad I didn’t have the time to see more shows this tour!

To other people who were there yesterday and saw more shows, was the concert better or worse than others?

Although I live in the Hague, it was the first time I entered het paard. They’ve just been rebuilding it for millions, and with that they probably also took the old atmosphere out of it.
The public in Tilburg was more enjoyable, I already had that feeling when Tacker started, as in Tilburg the crowd moved forward, and in the Hague they just stood away. Although there was more stagediving and a heavier pit in The Hague as in Tilburg. ;)

And Fudge, don’t call the dutchies a lousy public, call the Hague people lousy public (I wasn’t born here ;) ). In Amsterdam ands also last sunday in Tilburg the crowd is always going balloony!

@Guy: The gig itself was more fun then in Tilburg, too bad of the crowd yesterday.

Welcome to the board, hope to find you here more often! I think Martin laying next to you was greater then getting the set-list ;-) I’m sure I will see you again next year!!!

The audience in Den Haag has always been like that. Only a few bands are able to turn those spoiled zombies into a living mob. T? is definetely one of those bands!!
It was great though and the sound contributed to that.

After the show I was lucky to have a chat with Andy and he said the audiensce wasn’t that bad. So I suppose that if we all promise to behave next time, T? wil give Den haag another chance.

Cheers!!
