Does anyone know when does the box-office of Astoria opens? I got mail that they are unable to send our tickets via mail and we should pick them before the gig…

And how about the pre-gig meeting..? I would love to meet Wombles and discuss about the weather, erm, I meant T? :D

I guess this helps.

Quote (author unknown):

taken from the collection info for Astoria gigs on ticketmaster’s site
Tickets left at the box office for collection may be picked up on the day, from when the doors open. The cardholder must take the credit card used to make the booking and their Ticketmaster reference number with them.

Title: Newbie!

I hate being a newbie… but heck, we all gotta start somewhere right?

So the Astoria… is it seated or standing or both or what? Probably sounds like a really dumb question but I just wanted to get an idea of the layout of the place. I bought two tickets with a plan to take me gal… and she said no?! how bad is that!! So i’m going with a mate instead. Thanks for any info you can provide and I hope to see u all there.

Hi, thanks for the info. Do you know if you have to stay in the seated area if thats what your ticket says cuz I could do with being down where the action is so I might have to change mine :-)

I’ve never had a seated ticket, but must assume if the ticket says seated you have to stay in the seated area…!

I think at the Astoria you can actually move between upstairs and downstairs… not definite though..

Once in the venue, if you cant move between up and down, then all you need to do is get two mates who are downstairs. One of them comes out with the two downstairs tickets and meets you near the cloakroom or something, then you go in downstairs on the second ticket…

It is a bit like how do you get the chicken, fox, and grain across the river via a boat which can only carry one at a time, and without them eating each other…

Had too much coffee today…

I’ll be there for sure, but I think I’ve got a spare ticket if anyone’s interested. I’ve posted my pics up on the WoM members thread in the Chit-Chat section, but if you don’t know what I look like, just look for a JD from Scrubs look-alike.

But if you want to see & talk me and my lovely girl, then pull my sleeve… I’m the fat-one (like you didn’t knew that :D) and probably wear the same “Pleasure Death” shirt.

This goes to all of you as well, as it looks like the “WoM-meeting” isn’t happening as it didn’t get much support.

Yes it was!!!! We saw after all, even though I had lost my faith to see any WoMbles on our “tour”… Unfortunately we will this time see London & Oxford gigs, but there will always be the next time, right?!! :p

Yep, pretty sur eyou are free to move around the Astoria, from what I remember. IT’s Brixton that sometimes enforces ticket zones. NOt that I have even been upstairs at the Astoria.

SO, is there gonna be a WoMbles meet beforehand? A nearby pub? I forget the name, but on the eastern end of OXford Street (north side) between McDonalds and Virgin is close by… ? Failing that, Harmony, next door!
