Young & naive - what were you thinking?

Ok - Similar to the other thread but

What is the worst album you bought during your young and naive phase? (if you actually ever grew out of it that is…)

I think mine has to be the Shamen - Boss Drum - bloody awful but it was popular at the time and I was about 12 mind!

I still have it on tape but cant bring myself to listen to it to see just how bad it is.

Boss Drum! To this day that fucking awful “Ebeneezer Goode” haunts me in my sleep. I bought loads of shite - Robert Miles’ album springs to mind - and I was about 16!

p.s. Boss Drum came out late ‘92, Gav :p

p.p.s I bought Robert Miles when I was 18! Corrupted by townie mates, I was :p

I bought a Curtis Stigers album. I lost it but suspect if I heard it again I’d have fond memories. Also bought Walthamstow by East 17 but I maintain that it had some good tunes.

Yeah - but I had Metallica’s Black album and Nirvana’s Nevermind in ‘91 so I wasn’t doing too bad - it was just a moment of weakness…

I also had the KLF’s White Room - but that had some highlights, unlike the truly awfull Shamen Album!

At least I didn’t have any 2Unlimited!

Aaah - brings back memories of a primary school disco… needless to say the teachers weren’t picking the tunes that night - bombarding the pupils with drug influenced house + techno, I even had a shell-suit :( what the fuck was i thinking.

I was a dumb fuckin kid, then again I have grown up into a dumb fuckin adult ;)

Limp Bizkit- um… that one that had all the really bad singles on it. I melted it about 6 months later, and I hope my freinds from school who post on this board never read this, because I will never hear the end of it. Rightly so- what was I thinking?

Or, I’ve just remembered, both of the Eminem albums and the D-12 one. I actually bought ‘Hellbelly Deluxe’ by Rob Zombie on the same day as the D12 one. God, I used to listen to a pile of shit…

Oh, not the Rob Zombie one, its not shit, just tryin to show the contrast. In saying that, I still like the Manic Street Preachers and Radiohead as well as Slayer and Malevolent Creation etc. I’m so diverse.

I am so happy that there isn’t a photo of me on this board because this is really embarrasing to tell.

Never gonna give you up…(BLAH, BLAH)

Bad taste, but as a kid you like this sort of stuff I guess.
