Vitalogy is one of my fav Pearl Jam albums but a lot of people i know dont really like it - No code and Yeild are pretty good, and I really like the last two Binaural and Riot Act - they are good Sunday morning albums to listen to in bed recovering from the night before.

Vitalogy is my favourite too, it’s amazin (it’s almost worth getting for the booklet alone) - in fact it’s the only Pearl Jam album I ever listen to.

Most other Pearl Jam fans find that odd.

I’m goin through a bit of a grunge renaissance meself what with the Radio X station on Grand Theft Auto 4 - Helmet, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, L7, RATM, Danzig, Stone Temple Pilots… it’s like a CD I’d burn!

I love Pearl Jam. Vitalogy is a great album, and Spin the Black Circle is one of their best songs. Personally my favourite is No Code. Riot Act is a great album with some great moments. especially Bushleager. I’m pretty sure they have a greatest hits or best of or whatever coming out soon. they also have a B-sides albuma nd rarities which is pretty kool.

Lost Dogs… the sleeve notes are really cool cause they explain all about the songs, when they were written, what they were about and why they never made the albums - quite interesting.

Their sound has definitely broadened. A lot more slow songs, which is not a bad thing considering the songs.

Vitology is a great album especially “Immortalitiy” and “Satan’s Bed”.

No Code is a bit all over the place, but has some really great songs, “Red Mosquito”, “Mankind”, “Off He Goes” and “Lukin”. The Neil Young influece is really strong on this one.

Yield, overall was not a strong but has one of their best “Do the Evolution” as well as “Given to Fly” which is great live.

Binural’s is a bit better. “Grievence”, “Sleight of Hand” and “Nothing as it Seems”

Riot Act was strong as well: “Save You” “All or None” and “Cropduster” are my favorites. “You Are” is interesting.

They are still a great live band, I highly recommend seeing them or picking up some of their live recordings if you can. Granted they are not a wild as they were in 92-94 but they still put on a great show. Eddie’s voice isn’t as powerful as it once was, but if you’ve ever heard their live stuff from the Ten/Vs era you’d be amazed he could still talk now.

I can’t be bothered what their best album is. I never liked them enough to buy one but I always said that if they were ever to release a greatest hits compilation, I’d buy one and that day has finally come.

:D Well, if you’re gettin a bit TOO sick of Radio X I’d recommend u skip down one to Radio Los Santos - I don’t like rap much either but some of the tunes on that station are class (and littered with profanities!)
