German Christmas Markets

@Allroy (and all Germans/those living close to Germany)

This is why I hope you’re not taking the other thread to seriously.

I have a friend who’s doing a day-trip to Germany to go to a Christmas market in some place who’s name eludes me now. I was thinking of asking her to bring me back some of the marzipan Christmas treats that you made me jealous about this time last year - any recommendations on what I should ask her to get & how much it’s likely to cost?

Cheers!

by the way are there already some x-mas markets?
i think the one in Essen has started already, but i’m not sure about that…and anyway isn’t that too early?

She’s not going to early December, but she told me about it at the weekend, which is why I mentioned it.

Thanks for the suggestion!

The markets should start this weekend or the next one.

In supermarkets, 125g of marzipan balls (that’s about a dozen, I just counted them)
***stuffing the last one in his mouth***
cost just 50 cents.
Really good marzipan, like the Lübecker, is a bit more expensive, but still very affordable. Reminds me of not weighing myself till early next year. :)

bahh. your talking about those 50 cent “marzipan kartoffeln”, right?
uaaah, from those i could easily throw up

but the lübecker marzipan you don’t have to go to a x-mas market for actually…you get them also in good organised shops.
