Screamager

#

Started by Pat

in this weeks kerrang, screamager was placed #4 in their 666(how suprising) essential songs. even more shocking, for a change, nirvana smells like teen spirit wasnt number one:eek:

noticed that that was out this week, unfortuantely, they didn’t have an open copy in Smiths, so didn’t get to read it…

i dont even think they were on the first page, though foo fighters and monkey wrench was number one, maybe they ran out of things to say about nirvana so are putting all their attention on the foo’s

That’s because Kerrang! is a pants magazine, run by brown tongued idiots who like to impress the big bands.

I remember when korn released ‘Life Is Peachy’. IMHO, Korn are less interesting than piles. So why did Kerrang! print full stories on korn - every week!? It might as well have changed it’s name to korn magazine!

EDITOR: - ‘What? Jonathan Davies bent down to tie his shoes and farted? My goodness, we better run a story on it before Metal Hammer does!’

JOURNALIST: - ‘OK boss! Gosh, I really landed on my feet when I got this job.’

Kerrang!? - Ceeeerrrrrrappp more like!

Personnally, I really couldn’t care what Kerrang! says.

I wish Kerrang! would just go away.

they print it because it sells their magazine which provides advertising space which they sell to companies and make grand amounts of money.

unfortunately it’s business. thank god for indie ‘zines.

I do know why they sell it. All magazines are the same, so why are some good and some bad? Kerrang! is in a league of it’s own, but people still buy it, say ‘what a crap mag’ and throw it away. Only to return when the next one comes out.

Kerrang needs another band to go in and smash the offices up, like the Wildhearts did.

I’d have to disagree there - there’s a world of difference between Just 17 and Just 18…

heres what Kerrang had to say about Screamager..

In 1994 it was impossible to escape this song;its verses and chourses, its riff and structure truly deserving the adjective ‘infectious’ Therapy? as pop gods?Surely some mistake.

They also recommended Teethgrinder and Nowhere.

If I’m honest, Kerrang! has seen better days. They might have been good to our band on this occasion, but their heads are so up the arse of HIM and the like.

In this issue they also make reference to a Papa Roach song that has nicked the riff from Screamager and in the events section T? get a good mention for being one the best live acts/bands around.
