Vertigo by U2 = Sister by THERAPY?

#

Started by Andy D (Andy)

Has anyone else noticed that the riff to U2’s new single is an exact rip-off from Sister by our beloved THERAPY??

I didn’t know why I didn’t think much of their new single up until now. It’s nothing special, that’s the reason.

Dont talk nonsense !!! LOADS of bands do that D to E type chord slide in their songs..

Listen to the intro to ” The Memory remains ” by Metallica…same thing..

” You really got me ” by the Kinks anyone ?

And its nothing like the Sister riff !!!! It has a similar two chord slide, but Sister doesnt go A Ab G then does it ?

Oh and while we’re on the subject, I am FURIOUS because U2 just MIMED on TOTP…

I feel cheated and robbed.

At least Green Day are on Jools Holland later…and you can be sure they wont mime on there. They didn’t mime on TOTP when they were on..;) Green Day 1 U2 nil

Whay are you so pissed off by the fact the U2 may of used the same chord changes as T?, the tempo and key may be different but their are far more people saying they sound alike than not. I’m just curious thats all, and I don’t believe it’s just because U2 mimed on TOTP

*shrug* I don’t hate U2 but it’s annoying that they’ve fooled me at least 3 times now into turning around to the TV cause I thought I heard T? and then it was just them.

I can’t think of any other song that does it the same.

Jezuz Christ, Rape Ape! What does Bono-the poorsod think he is doing? I just pirated the new U2 album and for fucks burning sake! The first song - Vertigo is just a crap version of sister - same riff, same bass, only the last few notes are lower that the Sister riff. Jesus christ! They CAN´T get the fuck away with it!!!!!!
