Cool, just saw a feller who looked a bit like you ambling round Leeds city centre the other week…with a T? patch safety-pinned to his back pocket. As you do.

I got no cash. Literally. I’m already over my overdraft limit. :/ But I’ll come and join you guys beforehand and watch you drink. ;)
We should make a little sign that says WoMbles or something. ;)

Just back. My opinion - thumbs up. But they need to start with more energetic songs (though I’m way too drunk to remember what the first two tracks actually were). Excellent Potato Junkie…and I got to crowd-surf to Screamager :) It has to be said that the boys worked the crowd brilliantly all night.

Oh, and White Psycho - your bird is well fit :p

Awesome gig. Had a fucking fantastic time, met up with several WoMbles and met the band afterwards. And Sam makes the best beef sandwiches ever (she made me put this).

Wooo!

Just got home. Mental night of coolness, great to meet up with the Wombles - whoever asked, my sister is the drummer, the bassist is called Charlotte and she’s a sweetie. WP, please come to Rio’s, I’m gonna try get there but they’re playing the cockpit the day after so funds may be stretched.

Was great to meet WP & Jane, McDogwhatsits, Lebianisness and everyone else I hadn’t seen before. Nuff respect to the Leeds posse in general, band were really happy with how the gig went and thought it was a great crowd :)

Lemo - I never had a drink but feel hungover, how does that happen???

Here’s the set as per set list. Andy gave the choice of Loser cop or Animal bones for the first song of the encore, Loser cop was played.

Unbeliever
Church of noise
Die like AMF
Rock you monkeys
If it kills me
This ship is sinking
Epilepsy
Stories
Perish
Rust
Here be monsters
Turn
Die laughing
Teethgrinder
Nowhere
Rise up
Polar bear
Sister
Potatoe Junkie
Screamager
—————
Innocent X
Isolation
Knives

Did Nick Oliveri play with Winnebago Deal? Saw him wobbling down the road after the gig (Andy name checked him a few times), followed by Neil and Michael. Was trying to have a bit crack from car window but ignorant bastard taxi driver was hooting his horn coz I wouldn’t move from the traffic lights and they were on green. Joked that we had a 3 hour drive home - wasn’t far wrong as we went the wrong way!!!

I trust that any ailments you may have had, have now gone :p

Col: Yep, Nick Oliveri came on and screeched for the last WD song, pretty cool. Apparently Mark Lanegan played the Cockpit the night before, so he must just have got ‘stuck’ in Leeds :p

I can’t believe the majority of the crowd wanted Loser Cop over Animal Bones…aaagh!

Ow! I hurt everywhere. What a gig! It’s just possible that’s the best gig of my life so far - the band were absolutely spot on. First time I’ve left a gig with salt crystals on my face, that’s for sure!

I’m half tempted to go to Dublin!

Nice to meet up with Isness, Hooch, sis, the very cool Geraldine! and the drummer with the broken arm, who’s name I can’t remember, MonkFish, White Pyscho and gf (cool makeup!) and lots of friends who I hadn’t realised were coming. Yay for friends, beer and Therapy?

Might pop down to the Blood Sundae gig at the Fenton on Friday if it’s still on.

I’m well up for a T? hoodie if they’re still for sale, and a beanie too.

Oh, and if anyone fancies an all day drinking session around Haworth on the 18th of December, get in touch.

Cheers all

Joe

Mark Lanegan and Layne Staley - two of the most amazing male voices in the world. Hope Mark doesn’t go the same way as Layne…
