I didn’t know it were you, just from your description yesterday. The checkered wristband was quite flashy. I was the grey-haired guy with the blue ‘Allroy For Prez…’ shirt if you happened to see one.
And we Germans are nearly as shy as the English. ;)

I’m always singing along, whether or not my girlfriend is there does not make a difference :o

Right in front of me was the ‘Here Be Monsters’ bloke who got told off by Andy. :D

When roxy’s with you I don’t have to stand next to you, that’s the difference. :D

Hello all the WoMbles we didn’t met! :D (And 3ddo shut up! ;))

I saw paulpryor (from the description) in Tottenham (which was packed when we tried to enter) & Royal George but that’s it. May have stood near dmw_ops as I was standing too near mixing desk alone as my better half was in the front-row rocking her heart out… She was the one with really short & blond hair at front of Michael.

We went for our tickets at seven and there was some problems with them, so we inside right after we after all got tickets. I will not never buy tickets from seetickets.com as it was too much hassle…

We had a brilliant time at the gig itself, it was great fun! I though also that they even played longer than normally. Highlights for me was This Ship, Rock You Monkeys & Polar Bear.

I thought that Winnebago Deal was really great. The best opening act for T? ever! They had “attitude”. I bought 2 cd’s at Oxford and got a authograph from the singer/guitarist.

What annoyed me a little is that “You fat bastard”-chanting, I know that british humour is dry but come on, year after year? Someone should pick a new line… :p

We should definately have somekind of sign to those Wall Of Mouths-members who wants to “point-out” as WoMblers… Maybe a somesort of rubbery-thingy what you can put on your upper-arm, as a tattooed forehead with word “WoM-member” isn’t such a great idea, right? :D

All right, I’ll say nothing, except… that I like the idea of having or wearing something WoM-recognisable. We could all wear a polar bear mask e.g. or die our hair the same colour; red maybe? (and drive tatty crazy :D)

Title: Was it theTroublgum tour or the NANE tour?

I think they played 7 songs from album which isn’t right. I was a tad dissapointed by the gig but I enjoyed it none the less. It was my 10th show but it was abit of a dissapointment due to the lazy crowd and the predictable set list. Epilesy and Innocent x were great to hear but the gig held few surprizes. Im sick of hearing loads of songs off and album that is 10 years old. T? have too many great songs to mention so they should not be playing half of Toublegum a decade after its release.

Agree or disagree?

allroy wrote:

Only partly agree. It’s true they’re playing too many Troublegum songs.
But they shouldn’t drop some of them because of their age (e.g. I can’t get enough of those really old songs from Babyteeth) but ‘coz they’ve played them on every tour since ‘94.
I hope on next year’s tour there might be a bit more shuffling of the songs again like they did on the second part of the HA tour.

I think that if you go to see T? once every tour they do, it can be repetitive. But this has been done to death in many other threads here…

With such a large back catalogue, you would think they could (and more importantly, would _want_ to!) take a more Pearl Jam-esque approach to set lists.

Their world tours aren’t big enough anymore to undergo the stress of practicing 70 songs for an everchanging setlist (that’s what R.E.M. did for last year’s tour)
