The Parnell Mooney is exactly across the road from the front entrance to the Ambassador, its a bloody kip, but beats those half litre beers they now serve in the rip-off Ambassador. Not sure if the band get a slice of the bar, knowing MCD probably not!

Venue-wise there is a smoking exit to the left of the stage which is a bonus though!

the question is, will T? adhere to the Irish smoking ban and smoke outside or will they refuse to be swayed by the tyrannical irish government, and smoke backstage like naughty schoolboys. it would be funny if the government tried to make an example of a band smoking, and fine them the full €3000 for lighting up, imagine the publicity the T? boys would get for having a fag!

Motorhead came out on stage smoking, but had them out within about 30 seconds, so clearly there are warnings given to the bands. Fans smoked also, but the bouncers were quick to pounce!

Only a couple of days to go. I’m sure it’s pointless trying to organise a WoMble meet, but if you see a guy with a real old ‘Pleasure Death’ t-shirt, short hair and little goatee, it might just be me, so say hello! Obviously saying ‘hey realityfuck’to the wrong person might be embarassing and possibly offensive, so try ‘Hey Jarlath’. Why Jarlath? Cos it’s my name of course!

Im bringing my friend dave, i forced him into liking therapy by giving him all the albums and hitting him till he liked them. (a successfull approach)

you’ll all see this really lanky idiot with long red hair and a red beard. thats dave. hit him and say “thats from kevin” (kevin is my name, not kyle, kyle bovine is an anagram of my real name Kevin Boyle)

me and my friends are making dave paranoid saying hes gonna be killed at the dublin gig, and hes gonna come back bald. so dont let me down folks!

I possibly will be staying sober, so I should be pretty coherent hopefully. :)

Ok, me and DeepSleep have got out of bed Tuesday morning at 5 AM, because our plane was leaving for Dublin very early. We arrived at the airport at 6 AM, and what do you do when you go to (Northern)Ireland: You drink beer, even if the time of day might not be seen as normal, given some looks we got! When we had to board some steward told us to take the back stairs of the plane( there were 5 of them), so we walked up to the ONLY one that had tow stairs…now, if we wouldn’t have been checked me and DeepSleep would have ended up in Malaga:D…but we didn’t

Tuesday, early in the afternoon we took the train to Belfast…a very nice ride indeed, with some beautiful surroundings and..uh..uh..some beers of course. There was this guy sitting next to listening to all sorts of rock music and I said” We are going to see him back very soon, which was true because” The Man On The Train( as we nicknamed him was up front as well in the Mandela Hall. We had dinner in a nice pub, and even in Belfast I saw this guy wearing a Feyenoord shirt…cool! I really loved the gig, what a homematch for Therapy? and what a reception, what a briliant setlist…and Captain Andy: My shoulders apologise for taking you up, BUT YOU WERE ASKING IT YOURSELF;)…thats right, I was the tall blond shorthaired bastard, only found out later on you were kicked out, and really haven’t got a clue why! After the concert we had something to eat, had some beers, had a little chat with “The Gentlemen” themselves, and then were strolling down the streets of Belfast, armed with some bottles of beer and nearly got a 500£fine for public drinking…wasted, waiting for the first train to take us back to Dublin.

Wednesdaymorning roundabout 11 AM we arrived in Dublin. We were thinking of getting some sleep, but decided not to, since it’s not everyday you get to Dublin, so: F*&^% the sleep we thought, instead we took a hot shower, a good breakfast and got that beerengine running again. Dublin is really great, so many nice bars…damn! At night we first went to the bar across the street of the Ambassador, and saw loads of Therapy? t-shirts over there, and some strange old guy who was swearing at everything and everybody…hilarious! THen we went to the venue, saw another briliant Therapy? gig and…had some argument with the “Suckurity”, who were acting like they were doing a rolecast for a nazi…what a bunch of pricks!aftwerwards we went to The village, saw Any and Neil partying and had loads of beer…at 4 AM, when we were already awake for 47 hours, we went to the airport, drank some…and now I am home and I see this strange thing called “Bed”,I think I might try that early tonight:

Thank you Therapy? for another good year, thanks Belfast and Dublin: We had a great time…now I wonder whether my friend Niek is areay into his nickname now!

Finally got up. Thought I’d feel worse.

Gig was fantastic. Respect to the sound guy, the sound was crystal clear. Every song they played I thought “Cool, they’re playing this”. Neil is fuckin’ awesome drummer. The trio from “Babyteeth” was excellent, and it was great to hear “Sister” live. The new stuff rocked also, especially “This Ship is Sinking”.

Afterwards we went to “Eamon Dorans” to meet some mates who’d just seen Ian Brown. They were a bit pissed off to hear T? had played “Babyteeth” tunes. Snooze ya loose.

So we headed off to “Whelens” and had for a couple of beers and then in the “Village”. My mate who I dragged along spotted Mr.Cairns and Mr.Cooper. Now I bit drunk by this stage and didn’t want bug the lads, yet I couldn’t not tell them they Rock. I hope I reasonably coherent, either way, both were very friendly and if I was being annoying, they hid it well.

My other mate was hammered. He’s been a T? fan for many years too, so he was glad to see the boys in the Village. Only problem was, cos he was drunk, he had a 10 second memory, like the guy in “Memento”. So every few minutes he was like “Fuck me, Andy Cairns is here”, as though no one else had spotted him. Ahh the wonders of alcohol.

Well basically the night kicked ass. Can’t wait for the next time!

Wednesday was the best gig I have been to in ages. The new stuff sounds class live. This was the first time I witnessed the phenomenon that is Mr Neil Cooper on the drums. All that needs to be said is that he is one hell of a drummer. Last time I saw Therapy was in Brighton 2 years ago. They were class then and are still rocking now. Therapy please play Oxegen this year, seeing yourselves and the Foos would more then make up for the ticket price.
