Yeah, it’s not fair to compare them, because they both have a different style, and T?’s music is way different now compared to the ‘Fyfe era’. So let’s just skip this question.

I don’t really think this is a stupid question, so i ‘m gonna answer.
I think Fyfe was much better just because he had his own style. He didn’t sound like any other drummer. Graham is good, but he ‘s just another good drummer. Fyfe’s drumming was unusual and strange and i think that it made T? more unique.

Fyfes last bash sesion with T? was Infernal Love. But I reckon he was at his best in Trouble Gum. Mad snare usage.

hey white psycho… how can you not kno when the change ovr was? if u don’t kno that, you can’t evn properly comment on which you prefer. oh well… i’m not having a dig or anything, it’s just that there was so much in interviews leading up to the release of chorch of noise and semi-detached about the new line up, with martin as a full time member of the band and graham the new drummer. fyfe left the band after the infernal love touring stopped, but he did not input anything into infernal other than quite literally playing the drums, like, there were no songs written by all three of them such as die laughing and he was no longer doing vocals i don’t think.

I think Fyfe’s at his best in Opal Mantra. The live version is even better, especially on Isolation (the bootleg, not the single). So fucking fast, it’s just unbelievable how he does that!
But then again, and I’ve said it before, Graham’s drumming in This One’s For You (live version, Camden 2000) is really impressive too.

anyway I think I prefer Graham, but then again i only started listening to therapy? properly when semi-detatched was released, so maybe that had some kind of influence on me. I think the drumming on black eye, purple sky is superb, and i advise anyone who hasn’t listened to drums on ther before now, to check it out straight away.

p.s
sorry if this was a stupid question… I was just asking.
