i was actually surprised that an incredibly large amount of people knew the lyrics to the new NANE songs, they also got an amazing reception!

Yeah, it was great. The place was really hopin’ during the fast part of “Polar Bear” - Andy had a huge shit-eating grin, I remember! :D

The pit was a bit nuts during the encore - 3 songs in a row from Babyteeth, what did they expect!?

I was the fool wearing a t-shirt,sweater & denim jacket - not a great idea to wear so much clothing, I was fucked at the end of the gig… metaphorically, of course!

Best set-list ever, in my opinion!

Sorry to disappoint you, but no new song:

They used to play parts of Joy Division’s She’s Lost Control during Isolation.

I think it was teethgrinder was it not?

There was a strange mood of expectation during Unbeliever, and then the place went mad for church of noise!!!

God there were some mad fuckers in the pit, some of them were hitting girls and got dragged out.

ya i remember those guys man. they were pretty
up for it and fairly messy too. i got a elbow in the face
from one of them. totally unintentional but it kinda
shook me a bit during ‘nowhere’. i stumbled back a little
and from my view from a bit back i can’t understand how people didn’t die near them. bit dramatic i suppose…
made it a more interesting gig though.

also don’t want to be a prick but what did people think of neil drumming on isolation???? i don’t think he is quite up to fyfe’s standard, which is out of orbit i reckon.

Did anyone happen to read the review in the Irish Times on Friday?, or was it Thursday? Anyway it was the worst review I think I’ve ever read. It didn’t mention the actual music or how well they played, the support etc. The reviwer said their dark close and dark music hasn’t changed since their inception and they take themselves unfasionably seriously!? what a load of crap you’d think they’d be more supportive of a band so close to home, then again thet probably aren’t as cool as Paddy Casey or the Thrills

(I was being sarcastic if that didn’t come across)

Fuck the reviewer, the thing i dont understand is why they send reviewers who dont like hard rock to a gig like therapy, i mean if i went to a pop gig id automatically go into the gig with an idea of what im gonna write, a damning review, just because i cannot relate to the music, and dont really like it. therapy get slammed in the big irish newspapers, but i wouldnt let it bother me.

id like to squash the thrills into a large suitcase and chuck them in the canal.

i think therapy are a balance between seriousness and having fun, but the reviewer didnt pick up on that.

They played an edit of ‘Shadowplay’ from Unknown Pleasures, She’s Lost Control is on the same Joy Division album.

Title: Irish Times Review

I missed this one, does anyone know the journo’s name by any chance? Brian Boyd used to cover all the T? stuff in the Times, in fact he championed the act for several years when most other Irish journo’s had them written off as Noise-Mongers?
