KERBDOG… Reformed..??????

#

Started by Jobrok

Just saw on the MCD and Ticketbastard websites that KERBDOG are playing in the Templebar Music Centre on 5th Feb. 2005.

What the fuck!!!! Like…

Are WILT finished…???

Did Cormac Battle finally see sense and decide to get back to playing some decent tunes…

Or is just a one off gig to tease the KERBDOG fans..????

Yeah, I heard a rumour about this a while ago. Wilt have been on permanent hiatus since 2002, ever since Battle got his radio job on 2FM. Kerbdog rocked a lot harder than Wilt ever could… lets hope it’s true!

Slap bang in the middle of Dublin City.

I’ve been on the official Wilt site, and from what I can gather, there will also be a Wilt gig in March or sometime… I’m not really sure what’s going on. It could be just one gig each, and then that’s it for good.

Anyhoo, I’ve got my tickets to the Kerbdog show!

Damn, I was hoping I’d get the honour of posting this thread.

Yeah, it’s on http://www.entertainment.ie too. I really am about as happy as a pig in shit. I got into the band just before they split up and never saw them live. I feel glad now that I spent all that time hunting down those MP3s to make up the first Kerbdog album.

You’d have to wonder about Cormac motivation here though…he has kinda distanced himself from the music he played in Kerbdog. if I was betting I’d say it’s a one off.

Do you know how fast the tickets are selling? I’m thinking about “doing a therapy?” for this one, ie, travel home to see them, but want to know how fast the tickets are selling.

subject to confirmation with the promoter, Dry Rise are playing the night after in Dublin also! So it could be a fun double-whammy ;)

Yeah, it was a good weekend - I ended up going to both nights cos a friend couldn’t use her tickets for the Friday night. Apparently, they’re also playing Galway on April 22nd, it looks like I’m going to that too!

A new album would be sweet.

So what was wrong with Wilt? I thought Kerdog has some great tunes, but also some incredibly weak filler tracks.

Wilt seemed much more consistant.

Nothing wrong with Wilt. Fucking great band in there own right, and Mick Murphy has always been a real friendly approachable chap.
I’ve no idea why Kerbdog got back together, but I’m glad they did. Everyone, no matter how big their record collection is, has those 4 or 5 bands whose albums they always return to, and Kerbdog was one of those groups for me.
Hopefully we now have two great bands in Kerbdog and Wilt who’ll continue to gig and put out great music.

Well I have now returned from Dublin back to England and WOO what a show. It was amazing to see Kerbdog finally, after obsessing after them for years :D And I gave out loads of Dry Rise CDs so that was cool.

I might have to go to another show…!

I second the motion!! I always find I go back and listen to them, they are (that feels good to say again) such a fucking great band :D
