Title: The Most Depressing CD’s (merged)

I’m in a bit of a depressive mood can anyone list any depressing albums that are worth getting?

Don’t listen to depressive music when you’re already down. Get dark, but uplifting music like Sigur Ros or Aereogramme.

Some people may think this is weird advice, but listen to radiohead when you’re down. It makes me feel really good about myself, makes me realise things can be a whole lot worse!

I already have Radiohead, Nirvana, Therapy? and Nine Inch Nails.

Would anyone be helpful in posting MP3s of any songs that may be helpful instead of going to the record store and digging out loads of these recommended albums. Please.

good evening, i hope you all had a good christmas.

i must admit i couldn’t be bothered to read most of the posts so i’m sorry if i’m repeating anything here. anyway…

pretty hate machine - nin
closer - joy division
visual audio sensory theatre - vast

infact i’ll give up there. essentially everything i listen to is alledgedy depressing. when i put on “the holy bible” by the manics or “pornography” by the cure, or even “this is hardcore” by pulp, i get told by people that it’s depressing, and/or miserable. maybe i’m not a cheery bunny. although i know for a fact i am. no-one will believe me. xxx

I don’t have any MP3 links for you but if you go to Amazon and have Realplayer you can listen to clips.

I agree with above and add Nick Cave - No More Shall We Part and Charon - Dying Daylights.
