Poll of the best Therapy? albums.

#

Started by MickeyKillGiant

What is the WoM’s favourite album? I know this thread might have been done before but we need some raging debate. Mine is Semi-Detached because it’s everything Therapy? represents in one awesome package.

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

And related to the thread I started a minute ago, vote for your favourite. Let the debates begin.Any negative feedback will be shat on from an awesome height. P.S. So Much For The Ten Year Plan is a compilation, so it doesn’t count.

It’s VERY hard to choose between Babyteeth and NANE, but since Babyteeth is so old and still a favorite, it gets my vote!

Suicide Pact.

A total fuck-you to trands and fashion. I didn’t “get it” either when it came out, it took a long time to grow on me, but it’s fucking excellent.

Brilliant riffs, brilliant drumming - a classic record.

My favourite T? album for years was the US release, Caucasian Psychosis, but Suicide Pact has surpassed it.

I go with Suicide Pact. It’s been a favourite since it came out, although it only just shades out the brilliance of Troublegum, NANE … and Semi Detached is a stormer…

They’re all good and it’s a hard pick either way.

Title: again… mmm… pretty difficult one!

if you would have asked me about two weeks ago i definitely would have said either Caucasion Psychosis, Suicide Pact-You First or Never Apologise Never Explain, but i started listening again to infernal love, and hell, that one sounded so gooooooood too!

mmmmmmmmmmmm…

well, Caucasion Psychosis then, closely followed by the other three…
(and since you can’t vote for that one: Suicide Pact - You First!)

i’d have to go for infernal love, semi detached or suicide pact. but, if i were completely honest, infernal love would probably win. xxx

It’s definitely Infernal Love. It’s just one of my favourite albums by any band. Now, if I had to choose my second favourite album by T?, that would be difficult.

Babyteeth, Pleasure Death and Nurse I’ve been listening to since I was in school and are engrained on the old brain.

Troublegum, like the above 3, I know so well, and I have fallen back in love with it recently after seeing T? live in Dublin.

Semi-Detached, due to finacial restrictions, I didn’t buy on release and heard it was just so so. Bought it a couple of years later. It Rocks. A great album.

Suicide Pact-You First is amazing. It was so good to hear Sister live recently.

Shameless is really good solid rock album and in ‘This One’s For You’, it has one of my favourite T? choruses.

High Anxiety a return to form? A bit of a major insult to the other T? albums, but on release I was blown away. A strong contender for my second fave T? album.

NANE. Just keeps getting better with every listen (and it was pretty damn good on the first listen!!).

This is a Very hard one - Troublegum I would say would be top of the list and I played to death and got me more hooked then i already was. But baby teeth still is the one i play more oftern as i was the first thing i heard by them.
and SP-YF is very close….Well i hope thats cleared that up:rolleyes:

I’d have to go with Infernal Love. It’s the album that got me into Therapy? and the one i can relate to the most, i think that album is their biggest work of art.

Then i’d have to go with Suicide Pact…just because it’s so much different from everything else, it’s so schizophrenic!

Its a real tough one to make a choice on, it changes all the time. The two that are in my car at the mo are Semi-detached and NANE. Semi is such an underated album, i think its packed with classics. I would love to hear more played off that live again. :)

After that it gets a bit too complicated for me.. probably a toss between NANE and Babyteeth. Or Infernal Love maybe.. aargh. Nevermind.

always a tough one, but I have to stick with Troublegum.

It was one of those albums which had an effect on me which still lasts. At the time it came out it was so much better than most other stuff and it still holds up today.

I use it as a benchmark for other albums I hear.
