True, the festival situation wasn’t the best, but I saw a lot of other amazing performances there anyway. It doesn’t help that I don’t particuarly like their music, but I still expected some sort of… I dunno. Movement. Talking. Maybe even Joey could change the tone on his guitar once. Just seemed like a practise run-through of the band’s songs with no true audience interaction.
Although I’m informed that’s their “thing”.

It helps that I’m a big fan of theirs and also the crowd was so buzzing when i arrived it was hard not get into it.
As far as them moving about on stage remember that they are getting old.

Also saw them at Brixton (last night) and also at the Forum in London plus at the Hurricane Festival in Germany and in Amsterdam. They’ve never been moving on stage so it’s just the music and the audience that make their shows so special.
So the ‘club’ shows are usually better than festival appearances (I’ve got the recording from the Coachella gig and that confirms my point) as they’re playing longer sets and have a more intimate atmosphere.
To the recordings:
DiscLive offers some November shows, but won’t cover the rest of the tour according to http://www.pixiesmusic.com
You can download the Coachella and the Minneapolis (first reunion gig) shows.
Try also to find the show at the Les Eurockéennes Festival in Belfort (France), it’s one of the best shows I’ve heard so far by them.
And Kim Deal is still the hottest fourty-something rock chick in the world. :D

I already own Live At Fuji-Rock and London Supersized. They’re both brilliant and really worth the money.
