Artcile in Metal Hammer few years ago about collecting Therapy? stuff

#

Started by kossu (Petri Koskiniemi)

:) Does anyone remember this article in Metal hammer (or was it Kerrang?) about this bloke who has lots of stuff from records to signed items (beer bottlles etc. etc…).
I didn´t buy the mag then and I have wondered that was it Alex (or someone else from UK) who was the guy in the article… Tell me so I´ll get my “peace of mind”.
BTW:A “Bad Mother” needed for my collection, any spare ones out there for “down to earth price”?

IT wasn’t me, but I know the article. I’m not sure if it’s up on suicidepact.com or not, but if it’s not in it’s a box somewhere — a very large “Inbox” that never seems to get processed!

If i remember rightly, Kerrang! had this suppliment about record collecting and they had an article about Therapy?’s then impressive back catalouge.

At the time, their Meat Abstract single that the boys put out themselves was being collected for thirty quid plus. I have no idea how much its worth now though.

Better still, Record Collecter had a feature on the boys and printed a list of what they put out - fan singles that were given away at gigs, demo tapes, rare pressings of Baby Teeth and Pleasure Death, as well as the albums in the shops - with a price guide.

Hope this helps.

That’s the article bit. The discogrpahy bit I never typed in, but I could scan it in I guess.

To be honest… no.

I had a quick look - however, they could be in one of about 4 boxes tucked away right at the back, it would mean emptying out the whole storage area, which could take a whole afternoon.

I am curious - but not that curious…

Sorry :(

This is a bit of a long shot but you could try asking on the Metal Hammer message board someone might remember the article you’re talking about and scan it for you.

Last week I got this article as clipping(and our guinea pig didn´t eat it up:))
It was the article “the fan zone” in Metal Hammer (maby some issue around fall 2000) and it was about this bloke Stephen Marley from Middlesex. Wonder if he´s still into T? (and a part of this WOM community) and has he got those early demos and Meat Abstract to his collection..hope so:)
