I thought you guys looked great but I have had to speak to my lawyer about my pics..I dont like to be seen in a ‘candid’ light. next time I bring my own photographer and make up/wardrobe and a smoke machine and some red lights.

you’re welcome to share if you like.
(obviously at a reasonable cost to your label)

nice to hang out with you guys! hope you had a great end of tour and xmas etc…

NEVER FORGET THE GOD MACHINE!!!

Big up RESPEK!
Peter (Akercocke)

Aye, not bad, though I thought you were meant to be blind folded for that task.

Look forward to the next Akercocke, by the way, if you say who you really are.

1988, that’s where. Iron Maiden are not Spinal Tap- status quo are more like them, and besides, the film-makers followed Saxon around for inspiration. Iron Maiden rule, and Akercocke rule. Rock on.

I’ve got to agree on that. Goat of Mendes and Choronzon are both great albums.

Frankly, no.

And the youngin’ is correct, Iron Maiden do have more in common with the Quo. I was listening to the Iron Maiden ‘Best Of’ in the background while cleaning my room a few days back and after a few repeats I thought “when does one song end and another start”. I mean it’s like -

1) Galloping basslines? Check
2) Two-guitar harmonies? Check
3) Dungeons and Dragons lyrics? Check
4) Fiddly solo bits? Check
5) Sporadic vocal shrieks? Check

Still, Iron Maiden is one of the best bands ever. Fact!

Yeah, well OK. Maiden’s videos are funny to watch (hey, wait live videos- as in the live gigs- no way man, they put on a great show esp. rock in rio and live at the rainbow!). The whole tongue-in-cheek evil thing’s pretty damn funny!

Dungeons and Dragons lyrics? I don’t remember any song that goes: “Hit points 2000, dexterity 466, have at thee foul Orc!”. Or similar.
