Jason Bourne

Has anyone read the Bourne series by Robert Ludlum. Just finished them. Very enjoyable and completely different than the movies. Only complaint is Ludlum’s style can be a bit longwinded, but they’re still good stories.

If you have time, definitely give them a read. I really enjoyed them. Good for the nightshift too!

I’m tempted. I enjoyed the films despite coming out of the second one with a slight headache from all the juddery camera shots. I’ve heard that the books are completely different, so I suppose it’s wortha shot. My dad likes Robert Ludlum, but he doesn’t have any of the Bourne series, otehrwise I would have taken a look by now.

I read the first book before the original movie came out. I really enjoyed it, and even though the movie had only a little bit in common, the movie did a good job going it’s own direction. One of those rare cases where you have a good book, they make a movie out of it, the movie is way different, but the movie is still good.

The book was kind of dated so they had to go another direction for the movie.

Even though I really liked the book and picked up the other two at a used bookstore, I haven’t gotten around to reading them. Since I knew the movies were so different I didn’t try to rush and read the second book before the Bourne Supremacy came out.

My Mom went ahead and read them, and said the last two books were good as well.

I know what you mean about the books being a bit dated, after all, there was no way Carlos the Jackal could’ve been in the movie as he was put in jail a few years back.
