I’ve recently gotten into some older Film Noir movies.

I highly recommend the Big Sleep. It has the greatest line from Bogart.
“Sure… he’s a great guy, He’s the kind who’ll beat your teeth out, then kick you for mumbling”

If you’re hangin out with friends and like a little bit of corn, watch Evil Dead 2..”Groovy”

For newer stuff, check out Hellboy if you’re in a horror/action mood, Clerks if you’re up for comedy.

You can never go wrong with Usual Suspects or Primal Fear.

If you’re into Anime, check out Berserk..the best!

Yeah, The Big Sleep is great. I haven’t watched it in ages, though. Hmm, you’ve given me an idea..

Anything by David Lynch is always a winner. Try ‘Mulholland Drive’, a bit confusing, but good.

- Everything by Quinten Tarantino
- The Crow (thanks to a post on this messageboards, didn’t expect this film would be good, just watched it to find the Therapy? poster)
- Lost Highway
- The Assasination of Richard Nixon
- The Terminal
- De zaak Alzheimer (I’m affraid you won’t find it over there, so you’ll have to wait for the remake, which will be called ‘the alzheimer case’, IF that one is as good as the original version of course…)
can’t think of anything else for the moment.

If you’re looking to kill a lot of time and like Stephen King, get IT and the original complete mini-series version of Salem’s Lot from 1980. I think they are two of the best adaptations of his work ever done (along with the original Shining and Carrie). Gotta love James Mason in the Renfirld role “Back Shaman..Back Priest! Throw away the cross..face the master”
