I’m not sure how Channel 4 arrived at that list but they probably just included The Darkness because its been a while since a British rock band has been as successful as they have.
I do think Channel 4 are running out of ideas now, theres only so many of these 100 greatest shows they can do.I suppose this 100 greatest albums programme will be presented by Jimmy Carr.

I’m waiting for The Hundred Greatest Hundred Greatest Programs Presenting Moments of Jimmy Carr, presented by Jimmy Carr.
But if one of the moments in that program was actually one of his hundred greatest hundred greatest presenting moments of Jimmy Carr then he might fall into some sort of paradoxical third dimension and die. *hopes*
Or have I set myself up with a false opposition?

I blame the millenium. Fucking thing. Made everyone want to put things in charts in a vain attempt to start over, but whats really happening is that people can’t let go of the 80s or 90s.
I knew the millenium change was a bad idea..

It’s always the same with internet votes and polls.
It takes a couple of days before the bored 12yr old keyboard warriors notice it , hijack it and before you know it Westlife is on number 1.

Same with this I guess , I wonder why they even bother with these polls.

Like them or not - Radiohead have made some truly inovative records, I think thats why they won. I’m glad it was them and not the fucking beatles or the rolling stones who I think are both over-rated, or someone like madonna who is just shit.

Pixies number 48? Without them there would be no Radiohead and Nirvana and they were in the top 3, plus Doolittle is probably the best album that was on there.

i bet none.
that’s the problem with these kind of poll’s. mind you, imagine how pissed off you’d be if your band got onto their list but not into the top 100. it’d be like “yes, well a few music industry people like you but unfortunately the british public don’t even think you’re as good as the human leagues “dare”“. (which, i must add, i think is a very good album.) :)
the biggest joke in my opinion is “nevermind” at number 3. has an album ever been more over-rated? no.
