The rest of the site is now also back online, and the connection problems should be solved. There is, however, an issue with some incorrect characters being displayed in some news, diary and tour date entries. I am looking into it and hope to fix this soon.

I’ve been experiencing the connection problems as well. We think we’ve tracked down the cause of the problem and a solution was implemented this morning, hence the maintenance notice. For now, only the message boards are back online, and work on the rest of the site is underway. When it’s all done, I will be monitoring the site to see if the problems have been solved. Apologies for any inconvenience.

I’m not aware of any speed issues with the message boards, so I’m going to guess it’s something that’s changed at work. Do you have access to the boards from a different location to see if it’s the same there?

No worries, the stories behind the songs will not go anywhere. There may be some outdated content which will be removed during the changeover, but everything else will be moved over. Things may be a bit messy for a while due to the mix of new and old pages, but I couldn’t get the complete site finished before Crooked Timber was released. I figured this approach was better in terms of promotion than to wait until the new one was completely done.

The homepage has been tweaked in several areas, and I’ve added a new video page containing the three BBC Radio 1 “Introducing…” videos by Bandwidth Films, in addition to the “Crooked Timber” video. The main menu on the homepage now works, but points to the old pages for now, except for “videos”. The old pages will be upgraded one step at a time.

I’ve just added the “Enjoy The Struggle” player/download to the new homepage.

We already have a discussion where you can give your opinion on the new message boards, Colin. May I remind you that the community guidelines still apply? If you don’t like the new boards that’s fine, but you don’t need to keep posting about it, and then send me a complaint by e-mail to boot.

The alternating white and grey background colour has been here for years. Did you get a new monitor by any chance? The difference between the colours is small and not clearly visible on all monitors.

I’m trying a few things out, including putting Site-Related Topics at the top. I know of several occasions where announcements have been overlooked and this is an experiment to solve that.

I’ve also renamed General T?opics to General Therapy? Topics to make it more clear that it’s strictly Therapy? related.

The Musicians (Tabs, Lyrics & Equipment) category has been moved to Non-Therapy? Related Topics as it was more about general musician related things than it was about Therapy?. I might split the Therapy? related topics in it to a new category, or move them to General Therapy? Topics, but I’m not sure about that yet.

The e-mail addresses on the contact page are correct, so the bounces must have been a hiccup of a mail server somewhere along the way.

I stick by my statement made three and a half years ago, earlier in this thread. And it’s not entirely impossible it will actually happen some time in the future. How’s that for a deadline?

I’ve tried to import the videos into iTunes myself, but I’ve had no luck as well. I have checked iTunes’ help section and although it says that WMV files can be imported, I don’t think it offers any specific information on how to do this, or how to solve problems.

Googling for a solution I found a page titled How-To: Play WMV files in iTunes [OSX]. Alternatively, you could install Windows Media Player for Mac OS, which includes an option to view movies full screen as well.

Colin, I don’t know what is causing the problem you’re experiencing, so I don’t know what I can do to fix it. All I can do is back up Eyesore’s comment - change the php extension to mp3, and they should work fine.

I use the same browser, and I have not heard of anyone else having this problem, so it’s kinda hard for me to know what’s going wrong. What kind of file are they saving as?

The Bad Karma video will probably re-appear on the Therapy? site someday, but I don’t know when.

I have newer photos in my possession than the ones currently online, but haven’t had time to put them online yet. Will honestly try to add them to the site soon.

Hundreds of people have been downloading them in a short amount of time, Fiestaboy, hence the 12-hourly download limit. This has been discussed several times and your destructive criticism isn’t going to change anything.

What kind of files are they downloading as, Colin? Which web browser are you using? Anyone else having these problems?
