To be honest, I have not noticed any speed issues for the site in recent months, so I’m assuming it’s down to your college network as you mentioned.

The reason the dates are formatted the way they are is strictly based on personal preference of both Sarah and me - no technical or political reason.

So, if you don’t like it you have to take it up with us. Best of luck with that ;-)

The first time you click the link, all posts added until the moment you started your visit to the boards are marked read.

So, if you click it and it still says there are x new posts, this means that x new posts have been added that you may not have seen yet.

This includes any posts made by you during your visit, so if you added 3 new posts, and it says there are 3 new posts after clicking the ‘mark read’ link, simply click it again to make them disappear.

If it say there are more than 3 posts you know someone else has been posting something new in the mean time.

Hope this clears things up a bit.

The problem started occuring after I’ve made the server configuration changes, so it’s likely I made a mistake while doing that, causing this.

I’ve reverted the changes that could have to do with the problem. Could everyone experiencing the problem let me know if it’s sorted now? It might take another clearing of your browser cache to make sure. Thanks!

Could you try to clear your browser cache and then visit the boards again to see if the problem has permanently gone away? If not, let me know and I’ll look into it.

Apparently the USA (where the server of this site is located) changes to summer time a couple of days later than Europe, causing this discrepancy. We’re screwed for a couple of days, basically.

I have always been the last person to understand all this time difference stuff, but if I’m not mistaken you should change it yourself to get it right, as GMT never changes and the time difference of the server to GMT has been set correctly (GMT -5).

However, just like sister, I needed to move myself to South Africa to get my clock right as well, so this can’t be right.

You’re right BruceBruce, this is definitely something that needs to be improved. I am currently working on a site-wide update, both to the back end as well as tweaking the interface and I will do something about this issue during that process.

There are some ideas in the back of my mind about changes to the design, but no concrete plans yet, and I wouldn’t hold my breath - there are too many things we would like to do content-wise before spending time on a new design in the near future.

Sorry for the late reply, roxy. The longer the time limit is for editing a post, the less use it has, as it’s meant to make sure that someone isn’t able to edit their post after someone else has replied to it. However, I’m willing to change it to 10 minutes (and have done so, as of now) and test for a while to see if it causes any problems.

I like the idea and it is something that has crossed my mind as well, seeing how regularly duplicate threads are started for each gig during a tour. Will keep this in mind for the next tour!

The idea of adding (some of) the missing videos is still there, but is not first on the list. I wouldn’t hold your breath for the Speedo Menace video though, that has never been announced as something that might be added to the site, so far.

It’s a spam e-mail sent by either a person or a program (registered as divine6969 - now banned) through the e-mail form available on the public user profile pages. Please note that it’s not possible to collect e-mail addresses from the members of the boards as they are never publicly displayed, so the spammer doesn’t have anyone’s address (as long as you don’t send a reply). It’s completely unrelated to the virus sent out on the mailing list a while ago.

There’s not much I can do about it, except disable the e-mail form completely, something I’m a bit hesitant to do. If you’ve received the spam e-mail and wish to disable the possibility for someone to send you an e-mail through the boards, visit your preferences page and set ‘Allow other members to send you e-mail?’ to no.

We will soon be introducing credit card payments on the site along with the t-shirts from the High Anxiety tour, so hopefully this will make it easier for you to order a shirt as well.

It’s not connected to the virus sent out on the mailing list, and I doubt it’s connected to your new broadband connection. Viruses are not directly connected to your type of connection, but come from an infected piece of data like an e-mail attachement or a file downloaded from a website.

Have you managed to remove the virus from your computer? Let me know if you need any help.

A virus has indeed been sent out to the mailing list address this morning and I am currently investigating how this happened. In the mean time, I have temporarily removed all mailing list subscriptions until I find the cause, to prevent this from happening again.

Here’s what I’ve just sent out on the list myself:

“I regret to inform you that an e-mail containing the W32.Netsky.B@mm virus has been sent out to all subscribers of the Therapy? mailing list approximately 1 hour ago. The subject of the message is “read it immediately” and the body text is “here, the cheats”. It contains an attachment called “part2.zip”.

DO NOT OPEN THE E-MAIL AND/OR ITS ATTACHMENT.

If your computer has been infected with the virus, go here for removal instructions:

I have not yet been able to track down the exact source of the e-mail and how it was sent out on the mailinglist without my authorization, but please be assured that I will do everything in my power to find out.
