Re: Favourite Tunings? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Whats with first string A? My guitar player plays that kind of tuning on his 7 string. so if i play standard on 4 string bass, then his first string is my second.

Re: Electronic drums - Roland in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

i know two drummers who play the roland. i don´t know which series. but its about 3500-4000 € and it was totally worth it.

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

ibanez bass stach BS10 is an old ibanez bass distortion pedal. it sounds hmmm … old and shitty? it has a very lumpish sound. so i use it hardly ever. if i want have a lumpish, but distorted sound i use it.

The Boss equalizer is very cool. You can get some middle frequenzes in there, which is just perfect for taping, or use it like sort of compressor, cause you can adjust the loudness. or just get more highs in there, to get a real hardcore funky sound :)
i am very happy with that pedal

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

here are my pedals. sorry for the bad quality. but this is the stuff i use.

from left to rigt:
boss overdrive bass pedal ODB-3
boss bass equalizer GEB-7
ibanez bass chorus BC5
ibanez bass stach BS10 (this is the old stuff *g*)

and in the corner there is a guitar tuner by wittner. but i want to get myself a stagetuner somtime!

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

i think boss has the most to offer for bass players.

two amps are just too expensive for me.

I would love to get two big trace elliot stations and get one just for the lows and one for the highs. But i don´t have 7000 € :( And the second status i want to have is 3000 € itself, so 10000 € ? some people would call me maniac, but its bass baby!

You mean that?

That is what i use
http://www.musikland-online.de/onlineshop_xxbasgit2530385672_Boss … rive-.html

I don´t know. My experiences with ibanez pedals were always bad. The guitar pedals are great, but the bass pedals always sucked. But i usw two old ibanez pedals, because sometimes i want to have that bad sound really. ;)

Well the bass chorus is okay.

But if you want to buy a mutlieffect, i would recommend

This rocks really. you can modelate every peace of sound and more on that. Not that cheap, but not that expensive either, when you know what this baby has got to offer. I could play every sound i imagined in the last 14 years i play bass now.

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

BOSS BOSS BOSS! erverybody in here is lying except me, cause i am the best. (cause i am playing status *g*)

honestly the boss overdrive is cute, because you can adjust everything. high and low frequences for example ;)

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

boss bass overdrive pedal is the one i use. its totally cool. you get every distortion without loosing the pressure and power of the bass. most pedals canßt do that. especially the guitar distortion stuff. don´t use it for recording. it is really just for guitars.

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

“Cutting mids and boosting highs and lows will make a great sound, but will likely disappear entirely when played in a band.”

Yeah, i know that. But if you want to hear it, you´ll need to turn the high frequences more up. In that way you will hear the notes that are played in heavy sound! I play it in that way. Well i have a status bass ;)
But it depends also what sort of amplification the guitar player uses. if he uses the same frequences you´ll propably need to figure out what frequences everyone needs to use to get a great sound, but hear the instruments alone also.

Figure out what frequences fits the most when both instruments are played.

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

low and high frequences in. middle frequences out!

really heavy sound. Make sure it won´t sound like overdrive. If it so, then get more of the lower frequences out. You´ll need to put more high frequneces in it than lower frequences. The middle frequences out. Then turn the speaker up. You´ll should have a realy heavy, but light sound. A bit like Troublegum live tour sound :) But this depends also on the fabulous STATUS bass he used in that time :)

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

12? *blödschau*

Naja zwingen sollte man keinen Schlagzeuger.

@ romy: was für lieder würdest du denn gern spielen?

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Langes Set :) Hehe. Kann man in Salzburg irgendwo auftreten? *g*

Meine Vorschläge (lange Liste *g*)

- Dancin with manson
- a moment of clarity
- femtex (da brauchen wir ne frau)
- skyward
- animal bones
- innocent X
- Turn
- Bad Mother
- Loose
- Straight life
- Heavens gate

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Mir is egal :)

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Fällt uns sicher was ein *g*

@ The one and only Y?
