Re: Therapy? @ HMV forum 19th november 2010 in Therapy? Live
Looking at the Forum listings, all of the shows in November have a time of 19.00, so would suggest that is the time the doors open, rather than the stage time.

Re: Special 2010 London Shows Confirmed in Therapy? Live
I don’t remember them playing Die Laughing in the encore though.
Set was awesome. Great to hear Fantasy Bag again.

Re: Last night at the Garage Highbury in Therapy? Live
Ricky Warwick closed his set with Belfast Confetti, and had started a set with a song which was probably called Church of Paranoia. Somewhere in between he played what he described as his Maiden/Cash fusion of ‘666 The Number of the Man in Black’.

Re: Last night at the Garage Highbury in Therapy? Live
It was an excellent set, although you have to wonder how many bands can get away with playing just 3 tracks from 6 of their previous 7 studio albums! Don’t get me wrong, I love the earlier stuff, but the set contained more tracks from Babyteeth and Pleasure Death than the combined total from Semi-Detached, Suicide Pact, Shameless, High Anxiety, NANE and OCFA.
I like the fact that after all these years, the boys can still surprise the audience, opening with Opal Mantra a prime example.
Having missed the earlier tour this was my first chance to hear the new stuff live and it was glorious. Neil’s drums have never sounded finer. I was a touch disappointed by the levels of Andy’s guitar and vocal but all became clear when he said the show was being recorded for a forthcoming live album.
Sorry to hear about the girls getting assaulted. That is bang out of order.

Scratch that - first T? gig since the Barfly show in August 05 where we were treated to some acoustic NANE!

Re: LONDON MONDAY GIG!!! whos going? 19/10/09 in Therapy? Live
I’m there. I think it’s my first Therapy? gig since I saw them play at Werchter in 2005 and really looking forward to hearing tracks from Crooked Timber live.

Re: Hopes for a new T? Album ? in General Therapy? Topics
I sit in the camp that says OCFA simply wasn’t very good. Regardless of talk of poor production, the album as a whole just wasn’t up to the standard I’ve come to expect. But lets be honest, T? have made a lot of great records and set themselves high standards to be judged upon. Shameless and OCFA are poor. End of

Re: T? play at Rock Werchter 2005 in Therapy? Live
Great news. I got my Werchter ticket in the post over the weekend and now finding out T? are playing on an already good bill is the icing on the cake. I can’t wait

Re: Only One Guitar in Therapy? Live
I think the best thing about the recorded version of sister is the dual vocals - and with only Andy providing vocals for it last night it certainly wasn’t up to scratch.
Overall though I don’t think the lack of Martin’s guitar was a great loss. However, losing the electric cello means that we are unlikely to see the band play great songs like Ten Year Plan again which is a real shame.

Re: The Astoria, London - 1st December in Therapy? Live
The set list was pretty much the same as the one posted from the Aberdeen gig, though Innocent X was kept back for the encore with Teethgrinder moving into the main set.

Re: The Astoria, London - 1st December in Therapy? Live
Hi gf. Sorry to hear you didn’t find any wombles after you spoke to me last night. I personally thought the show was up to the usual high standard that Therapy? set and I’m looking forward to seeing them again tomorrow night in Reading

Re: Audioslave in Dublin last night in Other Bands & Artists
I wasn’t in Dublin but I saw them in London the night before… and they were great. I liked the album but it really came to life with them playing live… strange that they covered the white stripes but a fantstic show

Cheers for mentioning Opal Mantra, gives me a damn good excuse to cough up the cash to get my turntable fixed!

Re: Slight Gripe! / Too much new stuff in Therapy? Live
its a fair point you make, but I expect that most of the people who went to the shows had got their mitts on High Anxiety already. At the Oxford show I don’t think the new album even got a mention but never mind. Guess I’m just greedy really but its the bands fault for making so much good music over the years.

Re: Slight Gripe! / Too much new stuff in Therapy? Live
I’ve seen them twice on the tour and they’ve played eight songs from the album on both occasions. Don’t get me wrong, good album and the tracks are fantastic live, but where are Nausea and Teethgrinder, they are classic!

Re: Slight Gripe! / Too much new stuff in Therapy? Live
The main surprise for me was just how much of High Anxiety they wanted to play. Its a cracking album and you can see how into the music they are but I certainly agree it is a shame to come at the expense of some oldies

Re: Slight Gripe! / Too much new stuff in Therapy? Live
If you look at the Bad Mother post, you will see they played BM at Oxford which was a bit of a surprise. Tend to agree with your sentiments though, there weren’t too many surprises apart from the fact that Teethgrinder was not played. Mind you, if they had left out Knives, Screamager, Nowhere, Trigger Inside, Die Laughing, Potato Junkie, Stories and Church of Noise we probably would have been annoyed then as well.
Teethgrinder and Nausea were sorely missed. I remember seeing them play Disgracelands about five years who was tops, if unexpected. Dancing with Manson or Innocent X would have been my choice for an obscure track

Yeah that sounds like me, though towards the front to the left is also pretty much at the back to the right in that venue. Mind you, I try to keep things in good order down the front and am normally the first to offer an arm to somebody on the ground.

Re: Miss Black America setlist in Therapy? Live
I think the singer from 3 shades of pain would probably earn a lot more money as a look alike for Bruce Springsteen in his younger days than through singing.
