@ LuncayBooth - Why so? If you hate the band chances are your gonna hate the record so I just want to know how come you hate them?
I don’t hate them - as musicians thay all have an impressive back catalogue. I just think VR make horrible music.
They lack any real spark for me. It’s kind of music by numbers, unoriginal, generic, uninspiring, standard fayre which could have written by any number of 8th rate rock bands. There are hundreds of bands churning this shit out and most of them will never make it.
If you like them go enjoy but not for me.

Re: The Manics New Song in Other Bands & Artists
A poor album IMHO :(
There’s a couple of ‘good’ tracks, nothing great and some real duffers! There’s stuff on the Lipstick collection that are far better than some of the songs served up here. Your Love Alone is dreadful. I even turned off the radio this morning when it was played!
Can’t be bothered going into any more details on this one. I don’t like it and after repeated listens I don’t thnk I ever will!
Disappointed!

Well, how do you define legend? For me he definitely is one.
I suppose this whole question really (as has been pointed out) is a metter of opinion. For me a legend is someone who is famous and universally admired because of something they’ve achieved in a particular area - be it sport or music.
In those terms, for me, Andy cannot be considered a legend. The mention of his name would lead to a blank look from most people if you asked them. He’s great at what he does - no doubt about that so I’m not knocking andy!
I’m not knocking anyone who has different criteria for identifying a legend but not for me.

Not made anywhere close to a big enough impact to be considered in this category. Great band - yes! Great fontman - yes! Legend - not for me!

Jerry Cantrell’s Degradation Trip - the 2CD version and not the trimmed down Road runner release is a fantastic double CD!

I never mentioned sectarianism - it didn’t even enter my head to be honest - you really shouldn’t try to put words into my mouth.
It was a Welsh team that you guys were susposed to have been slagging off in the first place and the Brennan issue still isn’t a closed book from what I hear.
Im bored with all this bitching and won’t be posting regarding this anymore
Lenny is this reply for real? Sectarianism didn’t enter your head? A great quote from someone who introduced the phrase “fenian bastard” to the thread!
It was this one line which annoyed me and a few others! Surely, in reflection, you can see how that could be taken the way it was?
And as for “shouldn’t try to put words into my mouth” - another corking quote from someone quite happy to rehash allegations which even Brennan confirmed weren’t chanted!
As for the racism issue - no problem with you mentioning that. It was reported, investigated and thrown out - not for the first time either so this might have been worth a discussion.
Like yourself I’m bored of this and don’t intend posting in this thread again.

Colin has been very vocal in his support of Ulster rugby - that was a fair and valid question for him. Colin answered my question, but I think that its funny the way you and that other muppet (Lunacy booth) won’t answer the racism question but try to put me down for raising the issue?
Muppet indeed
Sorry for raking up old ground but you sir are a wank!
I only frequent this board every now and again so forgive me!
I’ve also noticed that you (Lenny) took a fair time to come back to this thread so I don’t feel so bad doing it!
You didn’t raise a racism question! You mentioned it alongside some other unproven bollocks! If (ever) someone is hung for it I’ll be the first one on here stating they were hung fairly!
I don’t care from which hole you and your ilk crawl from but repeating idle speculation is not great craic!

I would consider going to Glasgow - the only thing stopping me is the fact that when Therapy? supported them in Edinburgh - they were truly terrible!
