Re: fake meat abstract 7” in General Therapy? Topics

I don’t think it’s a fake now. It is mint condition, and I’m so happy I managed to get another copy again. I will frame this copy

fake meat abstract 7” in General Therapy? Topics

I’ve just picked up a second copy if this 7”( as all my vinyl went missing) - but I have a bit of doubt about it. The cover is in mint condition - almost too good. The record itself is good too - but I thought that all the meat abstract 7” ‘s had “kill all the hippies” written on the very inside centre of the record. Can someone confirm this?- or tell me where the hell I’ve got that idea from?

Re: …what about Fyfe ? in General Therapy? Topics

I’ve spoken to Mr Sheils, and he said that him and Fyfe parted company a while ago and he still lives in Brighton. To be fair, it’s a long way between them

Re: All gone…! in General Therapy? Topics

I tallied up a few records on ebay last night - about 25 or so… it’s not going to be cheap. I really need Meat Abstract and Babyteeth again. Those records meant so much to me. I’m not bothered about the stuff by other bands( i had some real nice beastie boys, Four Tops, tamla, Dj Shadow, Stooges, Metallica)

All gone…! in General Therapy? Topics

I’ve lost every Fucking record I’ve ever had!
The story goes.. used to live in a pub, up until about a year ago. When I left I left a few boxes there until we go settled in the new place, eventually we managed to get everything in the house. Today I went to set up my stereo and move the records down stairs. I go to the last of the boxes which up until I had pressumed contained th records… Nothing! I’ve lost every fucking record, mix tape, everything. I still have my CD’s, but I spent many many years collecting and hunting down these things. The pub has now been refurbed and changed hands, and everything that was left was binned. I’ve lost a lot of really important records. Maybe not a big deal to most people, but I really really put my heart and soul into getting and keeping some of these. Some early DJ Shadow, some rare motown and Rolling Stones. Some Stooges, and Dead kenedys. Rare records that inducted me into the metal scene - double Megadeth first album anyone?

The thing that hurts the most is that I had a complete Therapy? collection. I spent so much time building this up and collecting. Waiting for autographs or hoping certain versions would appear on the net. I CAN’T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I WAS WHEN i GOT MY HANDS ON MEAT ABSTRACT!

If any of you guys have double copies or anything you think I’d need to get again, please please get in touch. The ones that mean the most are obviously Meat Abstract, Troublegum green vinyl, Infernal love , Babyteeth and Pleasure Death on original pressings.

Also if anyone has a copy of The Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotten Vegetables on the Cherry Red label let me know.

Please help.

Brilliant idea- why not do it like an e-zine - emailed out to people every so often? I’d love to contribute too.

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics

This is really sad.I had the honour of playing at the Yorkshire House in Lancaster owned and run by Keith and his brother. They were true gents everytime and only too happy to help.In one of our songs I used the Teethgrinder beat(you know th 2 snare one) as a nod to him.Afterwards they said “it was a good set, but you totally ripped off Therapy? for that beat!” =)

I’ll raise a glass.

more photos please. in Your Feedback & Suggestions

Can we have some more photos please-maybe some recent-maybe some old old ones, maybe that the guys have that we may not have seen before.I really liked the photo montage in the web gig, and the inlay from Cheap Transistor.

Re: New Label? in General Therapy? Topics

But bands like WASP are american yes?So surely that means the label has some sort of coverage in america. I’ve got my fingers crossed it’l mean good things.Hopefully they’ll still put on great shows and have good support bands to. I was listening to some Clutch today, reminded me of when they supported and I saw them back in Preston- 1998-1999 me thinks.I told Andy I liked Fumanchu at the time and was getting into my stoner etc and he introduced me to Tim Sult and a certain Mr Fallon.
