Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
This is really sad.I had the honour of playing at the Yorkshire House in Lancaster owned and run by Keith and his brother. They were true gents everytime and only too happy to help.In one of our songs I used the Teethgrinder beat(you know th 2 snare one) as a nod to him.Afterwards they said “it was a good set, but you totally ripped off Therapy? for that beat!” =)
I’ll raise a glass.

Re: New Label? in General Therapy? Topics
But bands like WASP are american yes?So surely that means the label has some sort of coverage in america. I’ve got my fingers crossed it’l mean good things.Hopefully they’ll still put on great shows and have good support bands to. I was listening to some Clutch today, reminded me of when they supported and I saw them back in Preston- 1998-1999 me thinks.I told Andy I liked Fumanchu at the time and was getting into my stoner etc and he introduced me to Tim Sult and a certain Mr Fallon.

Re: T? album release date?? in General Therapy? Topics
Dos it say what label it’s on? I guess if it’s not out until then they may have a long stint in the studio planned-maybe some short jaunts inbetween too-possibly rvealing some new songs at some festivals.???

Also, It has been known for me to spend an entire day listening to Dancin With Manson…way too loud
And I travelled up to scotland to get the boat over to belfast to see them for the scopaphobia show… That was a long haul…

I have…
-Slept rough in Newcastle in December after a gig because there were no trains.
-Slept rough in Whitehaven(a rougher version of blackpool) in November because there were no trains.
-I have 3 THERAPY? tatts,
-I spent my last £45 on “Meat Abstract 7”
-I cant remember the number of times Ive travelled hundreds of miles to get to one of their gigs.I remember doing Carlisle-London once.
Like Neil says… Im weird!

Re: Therapy? Q&A August 2007 in General Therapy? Topics
Would you ever consider doing anymore collaborations?/Why haven’t you guys ever collaborated with Henry Rollins, I think that would be amazing.
Whats the one thing that is your favourite memory from being in the band?
Are there ever times when you look back and cant believe what you’ve achieved?
Who’s your favourite womble, eh?eh? wink wink nudge nudge!

Re: Anyone else been gipped over the signed webgig cover? in General Therapy? Topics
my webgig cd cover only had andy and neil’s signatures on it…:( As they know Im a bit of a geek when it comes to signed stuff, I remember a manchester gig on the shameless tour I brought a backpack full of stuff and they happily obliged to sign it all.I was well chuffed especially as Id been to see them at the newcastle gig 2 nights before, with another lot of my collection and they’d signed that too.I’v stopped asking now, it feels a bit weird. If you’ve seen The Life Aquatic, thers a bit in there that reminded me of it, when the old fella asks steve zissou to sign a pile of stuff…

Manson?
When you take it for walks people can say
“That bad karma follows you around”
Or if it bites anyone on the ass, you can say “Bad Karma!”

Re: Can They have success again? in General Therapy? Topics
I agree wih Caffiene bomb.Other bands like Turbonegro,The Melvins etc, etc, are having a rebirth as it were.Therapy? area very well respected band in the business, because they have continued to work hard, play with passion, and most of be honest. They still write tunes that can blast any radio1 drivel out of the water. In last weeks Kerrang I saw Andy in it 3 times at least. They haven’t gone away, and it gets noticed. Other people like Mark Lanegan are writing the best albums of their careers and you don’t see them on MTV.Stuff like that is not important.Yeah sure its a money spinner, but if the gigs are full, and the albums are as caustic/loud/and full of integrity, they are being successful.

Re: Your Idea Therapy? collaboration in General Therapy? Topics
i’v recently been wondering about this too…
1.Falco-mccLUSKY
2.henry rollins
3.page hamilton
4.cormack battle
5.iggy pop
6.Spencer moody
7.AL JOURGENSEN
8.The melvins
9.mike patton
10.Steve albini
I know a lot of bands, producers, and general people in the music bussiness carry a high regard for Therapy? and love their music, so I would say there would be quite a few people that would love to do something with the boys.I know Henry Rollins always speaks very highly of Andy.

It does get overhyped by some people on this website. While I’m at it, ditto for Dancin with Manson and A Moment of Clarity.
Dancin with manson is an epic!At points, its like an ennio moricone piece on acid, playing electric cables with a chainsaw, whilst being woken up by a military drum/marching band covering a motorhead classic!!!!

well, the song is about a rape, and the imagery in the video ties in with that pretty much all the way through. Its littered with visual connotations and references all the way through.
