Re: Help me to buy a guitar… in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
As a general rule, I stay away from pointy guitars. After a while you regret getting them.If you want a shred guitar get an ESP or LTD, something like their version of the les paul

Re: speakers wanted in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
£30 is still a bargain.they’ll be usefull for practice PA.Ive seen WEM stuff go for £££on ebay.Clean it up and check it out.You should try switchboard cleaner/electrical fluid.Spray that on the inside bits of everything,ie, jacks, wires, speakers, clean it off(usually evaporates, it smells like cheap vodka) and you should notice a difference.

Re: Advice from Bass players please in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
well i only use them with my guitars, and the muff on its own with he bass. The HM is ok on its own,it sounds great when its cranked up, but even better when its run with the others. You can get some real saturated stuff with it.
also… Dont buy ROCKTRON pedals, not at all reliable, and because they are from america, very hard to get sent back when they do break.

Re: amps in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
Title: VOX!!!
At the moment im running a vox 60watt valvetronix head into various cabs and wot not.Altho this is a modelling style head, its half valve as well. Its very very loud.Ive had during shows only running it on 30watts, and not even half way round the volume knob. Its a beauty cos you have all the rectifer amps(messa) and the old vox ac30/black tweed and wot not.So you can get the clean lush tones of an old fender combo, and the shit your pants brilliance of a messa.Which If I had more money I would buy a messa rectifer stack, or a framus like andys.

Re: NANE Tabbed in full in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
Title: I knew I had it somewhere
I believe “The NANE sound is a Gibson sgx tuned in standard but in C (ie low E=C tune
the rest accordingly, but you probably know that already)
Straight into a marshall cab with a bit of every thing on the amp (no nu
metal tones) Heavy strings, heavy pick.”
Hope Im allowed to put this up
;)

Title: supa scoopa and the mighty scoop
Ah go on scoop it.Get that valvestate sound.Depends though, wot guitar our young friend is using.Something like a lp/sg would work good.It would be good if he had some more pedals to vary the sound.
