Aberdeen 27.11.04 - INNOCENT X!!!!!! in Therapy? Live

Title: Aberdeen 27.11.04 - INNOCENT X!!!!!!

Cracking gig from the boys.

Is it just me, or are T? improving with age? I don’t think they’ve played any tighter. Neil Cooper has re-energised them; he is a fantastic drummer…

Crowd were well up for it, and the band enjoyed it as well - Andy promised they would play Aberdeen next year.

Not sure if it had any effect, but me and my mate were shouting for ‘Innocent X’ all through the set, and… they played it first encore; SWEET!!! We’ll be shouting for ‘Animal Bones’ in Glasgow tonight…

The sound was fuckin’ great - crystal clear; props to the soundman.

Set-list :-

Re: Aberdeen gig! in Therapy? Live

Pity T? never play Dundee (can’t blame them, really…) but I’ll make the journeys to Aberdeen and Glasgow.

Hope Andy isn’t rucking with the crowd like the last time in Aberdeen!!

COME ON!!!!!!!

Re: Glasgow fuckin’ gig. in Therapy? Live

Embra set-list (not in order):

Screamager
Teefgrinda
Nobody Here But Us
Turn
Rust
If It Kills Me
Potato Junkie
Stop It You’re Killing Me
Save The Sermon
Isolation
Nowhere

Slightly shorter set than Glasgow, but they rocked like bastards anyway. Definitely blew the Wildhearts away.

Re: Glasgow fuckin’ gig. in Therapy? Live

Yeah, they played a new song - an instrumental, and quite a short number. My mate said it sounded like Rush!!!

The full set (not in order):

Nowhere
Teethgrinder
Die Laughing
Potato Junkie
Knives
Rust
* New Song *
If It Kills Me
Stop It You’re Killing Me
Dancing With Manson
Screamager
Isolation

The early start seemed to catch a lot of people on the hop, but by the end of T?’s set the place was pretty full. The boys were on great form - they were enjoying it as much as the crowd were.

I thought they had blown the Wildhearts away, but I have to admit the headliners were superb as well.

See y’all in Embra tonight.

Liquid Rooms is the best Edinburgh venue by far. Holds 2,000 people, I’d say.

Err… probably closer to 200 capacity than 2,000. It is a great venue - can’t wait for the Edinburgh and Glasgow gigs.

Ferg.

p.s. I bet the reason T? have been added is to help shift tickets. That’s my theory, anyway.

Re: Glasgow!! in Therapy? Live

Skyward and Die Laughing were NOT played - the encore was Knives and Isolation only. Andy mentioned at the start of the encore they only had 10 mins left, and asked the crowd whether they wanted to hear Knives or Die Laughing; Knives got the nod.

I’ve seen T? something like 15 times, and they are never short of great. But this was definitely one of the best T? gigs I’ve seen. Punishment Kiss was AWESOME!! Pity we didn’t get Skyward…

Disappoined it’s not in Edinburgh though - would make a change for you Glaswegians to have to bus it to a gig :-)

What he said.

Ah, well, another trip to Weegieland it is.

Re: T? Gigs In Scotland in Therapy? Live

Roll on the 28th November…dunno what it is, but T? gigs at the Liquid Rooms (Edinburgh) beat the Glasgow Garage gigs hands down.

28/11 will be something like the 15th T? gig I’ve seen in Scotland, and I haven’t seen a bad performance yet.
