Re: Songs that sound like Therapy? in General Therapy? Topics

theme from delorean from shameless sounds a lot like an old echo and the bunnymen b side called simple stuff. i can’t find a youtube link but it’s up on spotify.

Re: A Brief CracK Of Light in General Therapy? Topics

so i’ve been listening to it for a few days now and this is my brain banter. given how much i’d heard people say it was a grower i thought it was quite immediately accessible. i really like it. highlights are LITSOATT, get your dead hand… and the buzzing. marlowe really really really just shouldn’t be on there however but then again i’m not a huge fan of instrumentals (unless it’s big cave in). i think i actually prefer it to crooked timber.

Re: New single? in General Therapy? Topics

just the single song? i’d quite happily pay the 89p for an unreleased (or to be unreleased other than on the album) track. but for one that i’ve already heard or can watch until the album comes out. no no. not exactly shrewd marketing there boys.

Re: Re: web gig - begging msg inside!! in General Therapy? Topics

i have the computer skills of a hamster. i don’t know how to send it. if you e-mail the band i am sure they can arrange something.

(contarary to popular opinion, and my own at times, i am actually very nice) ;)

i am watching the “barrel of a gun” video right now. i am sure this is antons work but perhaps somone may be able to verify this? it is brilliant.

Re: Anton Corbijn and Therapy? in General Therapy? Topics

@mr self destruct: i think he was the stage and show designer for the last few DM tours as well as the videos.

if you look at the cover for IL and the cover for stoosh by skunk anansie it is basically the same photo. try it.

Re: New album “Crooked Timber” 23 March 2009 in General Therapy? Topics

i have probably listened to crooked timber more in the weeks since it came out than any album they have done since suicide pact. i have to say all in all it’s a bit of a corker. can’t wait for the london show.

Re: HMV T? Album prices in General Therapy? Topics

the T? boys alledgedly did a dj set in cambridge just last week at the church of noise club (i am not making this up, look at their schedule). about half a mile from where i live. but i was in london that weekend.

our independent music shops i mean. not like local fruit and veg and that.

Re: HMV T? Album prices in General Therapy? Topics

on the most part yes. but i am born and bred here so it is odd for me to go into town. so many many coffee shops… and pret a manger. and yet more coffee shops. you get the idea. all of our independent shops closed actually shortly after fopp opened. maybe that is why i am bitter. :)

Re: HMV T? Album prices in General Therapy? Topics

sorry gill, that was not a slight upon you sir. just in cambridge.

Re: HMV T? Album prices in General Therapy? Topics

fopp was also great for arty farty quasi intellectual books which certain people think are “cool” to read whilst standing around nonchalantly in a coffee bar somewhere. our fopp closed down TWICE but it’s still open now. boo.

Re: HMV T? Album prices in General Therapy? Topics

hmv is notorious for having some things rediculously overpriced. but they do have some good deals/sales etc. usually anything that is reasonably current but not in the charts is stupidly expensive there. i buy most things from play.com because i am a lazy bastard (and also usually, with the exception of crooked timber which arrived rather late, you can recieve it on the saturday before it comes out). that or nick it off the interweb. either way, i’m not making unnecessary trips into cambridge town.
