I saw Control, the Ian Curtis biopic by Anton Corbijn. It’s beautiful, filmed in black and white, of course and just creates the atmosphere one expects from a film about Joy Division.

Oh, and Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street is great as well. Johnny Depp is a really good singer.

Read both The Chemistry Of Death and Written In Bone by Simon Beckett over christmas, the first one being good, the latter being ok except maybe one of the worst endings ever in crime fiction.

I saw Nomeansno last Friday for the third time this year and enjoyed it as always.

Just came home to see Buffalo Tom. They were so fucking awesome.
I mean I’ve musically grown up with late 80s /early 90s alternative or indie rock and nothing beats those bands still around. I include T? in this list ‘coz their gig in Bucharest earlier this year is also in my top 5 list for 2007.
I’ve seen The Weakerthans the night before and they were really good but it was nothing compared to the energy and magic Buffalo Tom created.

Been to The Weakerthans show in Münster yesterday, brilliant gig, more rocking than I’ve ever seen them before.

Damn, it’s really like Formula 1, McLaren fucks it all up in the end. >:-<

And get rid of the whole defense, too.
