Re: T? Scandinavian date in Therapy? Live

Title: Stcokholm

Don’t forget the She Lost Control-cover in the middle of Isolation! :D

Andy’s comments between songs were quite funny, specially if you are into late Bill Hicks hehe

anyhow, I hadn’t seen T? in a while (1998 in Madrid last time) so this was just fan-fucking-tastic! no matter if the crowd had a hard time following the rythm sometimes ;)

thinking about maybe making it to Västerås, this time alone…it’d be fun to meet up with old T?-fans there in that case…

one last thing in this mishmash message: did Andy refer to a radio recording of the show yesterday at Klubben? if you know anything about this I would really appreciate info on when to record/whatever…okdok, rock on!

Re: your best T? gig ever? in Therapy? Live

Title: Paris, Olympia, 1995 […] […] […]

ok, i’m new here and i seem to have ripped my guts out on this message: much nonsense, much fan-psychoism and whatnot…if you read it be warned: this message has ended up being a complete rant about some feelings related to T? gigs…

“well, my first big show ever was the T? gig at the Olympia in Paris 1995: since then, nothing has really been the same :)

actually, that concert will always be a reference for me of what a concert should be…and i can assure that i’ve been on many a gig since then :)

when i moved to madrid, spain back in 1998, after missing their Paris gig in May of that year (frantic action that may was…getting a bit nostalgic…sniff), i was a bit melancholic (sp?) and thought i’d missed out my chance to see T? ever again (beleive it or not, i didn’t think they were going to last much after Semi-Detached, though i personally loved it ;))…fortunately -and it really came like a shock to me- my slow downward spiral to depression was quite interrupted by a magic evening in september/october 1998: new country, new city, a new start…that never comes!…a bad experience at the very first to keep it short and: there’s T? again, the guys that introduced me to live rock performances!

in madrid, T? wasn’t as hyped as elsewhere in europe (the music scene was by then on of my major complaints…call it small things if you want…but those matter a lot;)) and except for tgum noone was very interested in them…and after neither actually…

soo…i see this little anouncement on a “mishmash” panel behind a tv-guy and read SOMETHING like the T? semi-detached logo…hm?…could it be?…well, there are few words for my then manic-depressive reaction (uplift of course): for one month i was living for that moment (YES, no matter how good the guys are, THAT is sad!)and when the moment came for three hours -including groop dogdrill and Diamond Dave by the t-shirt stand;)- i was in my own world of happiness; just too hard to describe ;)…the T? show i’d regretfully missed out in Paris due to an insignificant (i know now…) exam was to be the last time i missed out on things i REALLY want to do: carpe diem, live for the now! :)

beginning in Paris -my personal affair to T? is music is really a PERSONAL thing as you’re reading (if you, whoever you might be, are still there)- i’ve ended up in madrid; an incredible uplift in the midst of downhill and EVERYBODY singing (in fact, i remember complaining about the low levels of the PA…) and having such a great time! one counterpart though was that the guys that were there were not what i’d expected: no die hard fans there and i was the only person screaming and awaiting (shouting) for Potato Junkie during the whole show. i remember mihael taking a pic of us and i’m still wondering where/if he still has it. fan-nonsense for sure, but i’m the guy with that “perrier” hat on ;)…

and now, with what is for me the most consistent album (as a whole) since Semi-Detached (yeah, during the years i’d really appreciated those easy singalongs, “catchy” melodies of that album… ;)): HIGH ANXIETY!

so, if T? don’t come to me (haven’t visited spain since ‘98) i WILL have to go to them, specially after this GREAT album.

see u in Portugal this summer!
