Re: Shadowcops in Other Bands & Artists
Small world! Thanks for the comments. I’m surprised some people like that first demo seeing as though we wanted to strangle the producer at the end of recording it; we have a proper one out at the beginning of November if anyone is interested.

I was watching Bladerunner for the first time the other day (years after reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) and one of the bad guys says this to Harrison Ford in a fight
This is probably already common knowledge but it raised a smile anyway.

Re: Clutch in Other Bands & Artists
I’d recommend Be Careful with that EP, The Elephant Riders and Blast Tyrant. Mercury is probably one of the best openers to an album I’ve ever heard. Great band.

Great tune. I’m sure they played it on the ‘98 tour when I saw them in Liverpool and Manchester, although I have a terrible memory.

Dag Nasty
The Nerve Agents
Quicksand
Nirvana
Stiff Little Fingers
Supersuckers
Dead Kennedys

These are all bands I listen to on a very regular basis; so you could say they are my ‘Greatest bands of all time’. They all make the hair on the back of neck stand on end when I listen to them anyway.

Haha amazing.
Semi-Detached is a great album. The drummng and use of samples always seem to stick out, for me, on this record.

Re: Therapy? Tribute CD?? in General Therapy? Topics
My band, The Shadowcops would like to do:
Lonley Cryin Only
Potato Junkie
Misery
A Moment of Clarity
Gimme Back my Brain
Ten Year Plan
…actually we’re not that fussy. But any of the above would be good.

Re: Therapy? Tribute CD?? in General Therapy? Topics
what are the bands involved going to do in terms of recording? are you going to do a studio or a home / live recording? if this goes ahead, i wouldn’t mind shelling out to go in the studio to do justice to the song (if my band are involved that is).

Re: Therapy? Tribute CD?? in General Therapy? Topics
Everyone in my band is a massive T? fan. We’d gladly do a cover of any song especially something like ‘A Moment of Clarity’, ‘Misery’ or ‘Evil Elvis’.
This is a sterling idea by the way.

I think MM is an middle class arse who appeals to middle class kids mainly the ones who are going through their ‘rebelious’ phase.
I also think his music is SHIT.
