I quite liked Million Dead, though I don’t know if they’re the sort of thing you’re looking for.
Got “Harmony No Harmony” over christmas, it’s excellent!

Fugazi are not bad - I like the ” argument ” album. To me it’s the most listenable album - although ” Arpeggiator ” is a top tune from an earlier album. Too bad the band are all dead boring ! the instrument dvd is not exactly a barrel of laughs ! :)
Fugazi inspired my band in the old days. Lots of atonal riffs and odd time signatures :)
“13 songs” is good

Thanks for all your suggestions guys.
Does anyone else remember “Understand”? Whatever happened to those guys?

Re: “post-hardcore” in Other Bands & Artists
I’ve been using Last.fm to try and find some similar bands. So far I’ve found Faraquet and Medications. I’ve heard a couple of Drive Like Jehu songs, I’ll have another listen. A band I’ve just come across is Polar bear Club, sound very Hot Water Music-esque. i checked out Farside, but the songs on their myspace page didn’t impress

“post-hardcore” in Other Bands & Artists
Hello boys and girls. It’s been a while since I was last here, but I like some help.
I know genres are a bit shitty and wishy washy, but whilst reading up on Fugazi on wikipedia a few weeks ago, I discovered that some of my favourite bands listening to for years, are in fact “post-hardcore”. Bands like Quicksand, Fugazi, Helmet, Hell is for Heroes, Hundred Reasons, At the Drive in, Fighstar, Funeral for a Friend, Hot Water Music, Rival Schools, Understand (anyone remember them?).
Anyway, I’m wondering if anyone can recommend any other stuff in a similar vein? I’m desperate to discover some new stuff.
Cheers everyone

Re: Let’s See a B-Sides and Rarities Comp. in General Therapy? Topics
I think suicidalmaniac’s post is spot on. I only really get to listen to cd’s driving to and from work nowadays, and for the last few weeks I;ve been rediscovering the delights of all my therapy? albums. Unfortunately I don’t have a multi changer cd player, so havent bothered with “opal Mantra” & the other ep’s that were released around the time of Troublegum. A b-side/rarity cd would be great, for putting all those songs that were never on albums together (maybe include the 2 new tracks that were on the “greatest hits cd” whcih I never bothered to buy, becuase it seemed like a waste of money).
I was listening to Babyteeth this morning, and compared to the other albums, the sound is poor. Maybe a remaster of it would be a good idea? I would DEFNITELY not want a rerecorded or remastered version of “Nurse”. I think ti sounds great as it is, the sound they have on that album is perfect; stark and harsh, I think it adds a great atmosphere to the songs, and personally I prefered those original versions to the rerecorded versions that appeared on the ep’s.
If they do do something like this, I hope they leave those awful “sabre bollocks” remixes or whatever the f**k they were called, and no acoustic versions either eh?!

You can find samples from all the T? albums in the discography, the only T? albums you will find in the shops will probably be Troublegum and Never Apologise Never Explain so you’ll probably have to order the other albums from the shops or get them online.
Looks like you can egt all of them from Amazon

i find Deep Sleep to be quite bad.
Really? I think that’s a good song. I was listening to Nurse in my car the other day, and “Deep Sleep” sounded really good. I found quite a lot of the songs on Shameless to be poor, IMO the worst album Therapy? have recorded

They showed highlights of it on Channel 4 too, a few months later. I saw myself on an aerial view! I had the T? t-shirt with “so f**k off” in big letters on the back!

Beware! listening to the Therapy? while driving negatively effects your driving skills! ;)
Not me, it makes me go faster… oh, I see what you mean ;)
Anyway, it’s given me a chance to have a real good listen to NANE & high Anxiety (have only really listened to them whilst working before), and I’ve come to the opinion that High Anxiety is one of their best and NANE is almost as good. I was extrememly disappointed with Shameless, and have given it another chance, and still think it’s poor. Still, return to form with the last 2, let’s hope the guys can keep it up.
On another note, I’ve only ever seen T? once live, and that was at Brixton Academy in about 1994!! I’m too old to mosh now, but I hope to catch them before a. they split up, or b. I die! lol!!

Af’noon in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Title: Af’noon
Hello boys and girls, I actually joined this forum about 2 years ago but only posted once. I recently got a cd player in my car and have had Therapy? on it constantly for the last week. Been a fan since discovering “nausea” on one of those magazines that come with a free cd (“metal cd” I believe the mag was called). anyway that was a LONG time ago.
just thought i’d say “hi” and see what’s happening
cheers
