I quite liked Million Dead, though I don’t know if they’re the sort of thing you’re looking for.

Got “Harmony No Harmony” over christmas, it’s excellent!

Didn’t the Wonderstuff reform?

I meant the band “Understand”. Southend (essex) lads.

Fugazi are not bad - I like the ” argument ” album. To me it’s the most listenable album - although ” Arpeggiator ” is a top tune from an earlier album. Too bad the band are all dead boring ! the instrument dvd is not exactly a barrel of laughs ! :)

Fugazi inspired my band in the old days. Lots of atonal riffs and odd time signatures :)

“13 songs” is good

I’ve been using Last.fm to try and find some similar bands. So far I’ve found Faraquet and Medications. I’ve heard a couple of Drive Like Jehu songs, I’ll have another listen. A band I’ve just come across is Polar bear Club, sound very Hot Water Music-esque. i checked out Farside, but the songs on their myspace page didn’t impress

“post-hardcore” in Other Bands & Artists

Hello boys and girls. It’s been a while since I was last here, but I like some help.

I know genres are a bit shitty and wishy washy, but whilst reading up on Fugazi on wikipedia a few weeks ago, I discovered that some of my favourite bands listening to for years, are in fact “post-hardcore”. Bands like Quicksand, Fugazi, Helmet, Hell is for Heroes, Hundred Reasons, At the Drive in, Fighstar, Funeral for a Friend, Hot Water Music, Rival Schools, Understand (anyone remember them?).

Anyway, I’m wondering if anyone can recommend any other stuff in a similar vein? I’m desperate to discover some new stuff.

Cheers everyone

Stew
