Re: We’re Here Till The End in General Therapy? Topics
I finally got round to listening to my copy and it’s confirmed what I’ve already thought during the last few times I saw THERAPY? live. Andy is trying to sound a lot less raw nowadays, probably to spare his voice but it somehow makes him sound a bit like James Gandolfini without the Italian accent. I’m still super glad with the result though after reading some of the comments on here.

Re: Effenaar in Therapy? Live
Whoever it may be it’s a bit weird hearing them talk about that while Rust is playing in the background.
What’s done is done and just live in the present. As they say, it’s the best line up they ever had so just focus on that because it may be the best live line up ever, creatively they are underachieving a bit.

Great, that’s what I was hoping for. Thanks.

Re: We’re Here Till The End in General Therapy? Topics
For the people who ordered with Play, is it a digipack or the version they sell at the gigs?
I should’ve known they would bring some copies to the gigs as well. I should’ve waited because I still haven’t got my copy.

Re: We’re Here To The End tasters… in General Therapy? Topics
In Neck Freak Andy sounds like Tony Soprano around 2.11 but what a cracking live version :o

Yeah, but the thing that puzzles me is that it says 2000 “standing places” so does this include the standing places on the balcony and the seats as well then?

Isn’t it even more? I always thought it was 2500.

Re: AB - Brussels, Belgium 13-11-2010 in Therapy? Live
I’m still in doubt whether or not I should try and sell my AB ticket and go to Amsterdam in stead because I’m pretty much heartbroken I have to miss Greg Dulli for this.
He was going to play lots of Afghan Whigs songs as well.

Loksbergen actually but I don’t really like saying I live there after what happened there at the start of 2010 if you know what I mean.

:-o Did you think so? It didn’t even come close IMO… but still a very nice gig.
I would love to witness a Troublegum show as well, but seems like we’re not getting one… first Sonishere, close to London, and in November again… in London :-(
Well, it could’ve been just me because I wasn’t really in a very happy period of my life back then because of losing my job due to my employer going bankrupt and such. That and I was just at the back of the huge moshpit and since I was too poorly to join everyone kept bumping into me so that kind of was distracting at times LOL

Re: Lokerse feesten, 2 Aug in Therapy? Live
Again, great gig but it would have been more memorable indeed if the weather was just a tad better. I remember seeing them at The Lokerse Feesten in 2002 and it rained cats and dogs as well but that gig was still a bit better than this one because it was already dark when they played. After opening with Knives and Screamager I got my hopes up (too high) that they were going to repeat the Sonisphere setlist but then Epilepsy started and suddenly my both feet were back on the ground. Nevertheless it was a whole lot better than their Muziekodroom show. It was well worth the drive all the way from Halen.

Re: Average Age in General Therapy? Topics
Lots of people who were 14 when Troublegum was released are going to answer I guess.
I’m 28

Re: Do I Hold The Record? in General Therapy? Topics
I do know one thing and that is that Sister did a hell of a bargain with his copy of Bad Mother but I have no regrets whatsoever. ;)

Re: Belgian december dates in Therapy? Live
Fucking ‘ell
My friend called me tonight during Lonely Crying Only. I hope this doesn’t mean they won’t play it on the next few shows though. I’m curious if Sister was still on the setlist.

Re: Belgian december dates in Therapy? Live
Just don’t stay too long in Charleroi because that’s a hell hole LOL
I noticed they’ve started playing sister again. Please please please, let them play that in Hasselt ^_^

Belgian december dates in Therapy? Live
3/12/09 : De Zwerver in Leffinge
5/12/09 : MOD in Hasselt
6/12/09 : CC in Mechelen
I can only make the MOD date because I’ve got another gig on the third and sixth. Either way, brilliant news.

Seems you got Polar Bear in stead of If It Kills Me. Not a bad deal but I’m glad with what we got :-D

No but I vaguely remembered something along those lines.
Good you forgot about our little falling out then back in the day :-D (can’t remember what it was about but I believe it was Dulli related)

Re: T? in Belgium 07/05/’09 in Therapy? Live
Yaaaaaaaay :-D
It’s a bit the same as when Aghan Whigs played Faded live. Highlight for some. Snoozing time for others.

Re: T? in Belgium 07/05/’09 in Therapy? Live
I still disagree. THERAPY? aren’t a 1 trick pony and they should be proud of that and display it in their live shows.

Re: T? in Belgium 07/05/’09 in Therapy? Live
Wow, so much Magic Mountain hate :-(
To me it was one of the highlights of the concert. They can’t get closer to the Cure even if they tried (that’s a good thing for me personally). Goes to show that lots of THERAPY? fans have different backgrounds. I for one love the dark wave influences in their music whereas you Robby love the metal touch they have a bit more probably. Fair enough though. I’m not ashamed to admit THERAPY? are the “heaviest” band I’m really into. Just because they have a certain depth that other “heavy” bands don’t have.

Re: T? in Dublin 15th May in Therapy? Live
I’m gonna wait to travel to Dublin or Belfast for their one off Irish/ Northern Irish tour where they will play an entire album each night :-D

Re: crooked timber - the single! in General Therapy? Topics
I absolutely loved the fact that I could already pick up the single at the show (even though someone ruined the artwork with silver smudges :-p) and I have to say that I’m happy T? aren’t all about the money because I mean…10 euro’s for the album, that’s even less than what I paid with my personnel discount deducted. God bless them boys. I was also tempted to buy the album again just to have it signed as well. Goes to show that I should have bought the vinyl first (gonna do that anyway later on though).

Re: T? in Belgium 07/05/’09 in Therapy? Live
Oh right, what I forgot to mention earlier: it’s great to see sister still shakes his head like a maniac to his favourite tracks although it’s not on the barrier anymore but even though he doesn’t post here that often anymore (like me) he still likes to see “his band” play live from time to time. Shame I couldn’t say hi again because I meant to talk to him after the gig but when they played one of the earlier tracks he must have gone to the front because I suddenly couldn’t spot him anymore from where I was standing.
To the person who made the remark about the people with their cellphones taking pictures…if you take your dslr camera to a T? gig you must be a bit dim (unless you’re an accredited photographer of course). I personally didn’t take pics this time because well…they haven’t become any younger and more attractive through the years :-p but the camera on my phone takes pretty decent pics at gigs.

Re: T? in Belgium 07/05/’09 in Therapy? Live
Don’t forget Summer Of Hate. So glad I saw them live again. I wasn’t really looking forward to the gig as I used to look forward to seeing them live but they did it again. They absolutely catapulted themselves to the top of my favourite live bands ever again even though the set was mostly new songs but I totally adore that album so who’s complaining?
3 things I need to mention
- so glad I could already buy the new single at the show (signed)
- what an encore was that? *shocked*
- a big Nelson HA HA to the person who said they probably wouldn’t play Magic Mountain live. They bloody well did and nearly made me…well, you know

The concert is being broadcast on ABtv tonight so if one of you losers (just kidding) or any of you foreign fans wants to rip it I would be very much obliged.
Here’s the link: http://www.abconcerts.be/nl/abtv/p/detail/therapy
Thanks a lot in advance

Re: WOM - When was your first arrival? in Chit-Chat
Tue, 9 September 2003
I think the new style of the board prevents me from posting a lot I think. I just kind of prefer a PhP based kind of forum I guess.
That and the fact that I’ve become more of an aging Indie kid nowadays. Interpol, Dragons, Depeche Mode and such are more my bag. THERAPY? will always remain special to me though because they combine all what I like in music.

Whatever you do stay away from Ashfield House. That’s the only advice I can give you I’m afraid.
