Re: Glasgow!! in Therapy? Live

(caution: this post contains elements of enthusiasm). Canny wait. The sets have sounded so good on this tour… lots of top T? I haven’t heard live yet… last time I saw them was at the Garage on the Shameless tour which was cool but they just played too little from old albums (other than Troublegum). Lonely cryin only, hes not that kind of girl, Opal mantra (introduced as “this one’s fuckin ancient…”) NOTHING off Infernal Love, NOTHING from before Opal Mantra. So I’m thinking I’ll be enjoying Friday night… Dancin’ with Manson, for gods sake! Also still never even seen them play Potato Junkie yet… Maybe my hopes are too high, but looking at recent sets, Sister, Isolation, Trigger Inside, and the poll winners, Stories, Church of Noise… any of these will put a big smile on my face! But then so would most other songs they’ve done… whatever, here’s to Friday night!!!

Re: I finally picked up High Anxiety… in General Therapy? Topics

Someone on another thread said there hadnt been too much development between Shameles and HA, which to some extent I’d agree with. Having said that HA has a bit more variety on it with heavy stuff, poppy stuff and general T? goodness. But I have a little voice in my head telling me the next one is going to be even better… they hadnt been with Neil that long when they did HA and I think once they’re really up and running they will produce a really imopressive album… I’d love to hear another one that is totally unique and stands out from all their other albums, having it’s own sound and feel. But I know whatever they do I’ll love it anyway!

Re: andy cairns solo album? in General Therapy? Topics

I fMr Cairns had free reign to do whatever he liked and indulge himslf it would be great… but then hopefully that’s kinda what T? are doing anyway… having said that Andy has said that if the other members of T? had no input then all his songs would end up sounding like The Ramones…

Re: Graham, Neil or Fyfe? in General Therapy? Topics

Here is my interesting T? drummer-related story. Loved Fyfe, he was a big part of why I ended up loving the band so much. Mid-late 90’s though, my second favourite drummer, with a very crisp and original style, was Cable’s drummer Mr Neil Cooper… So imaging my delight when my favourite band seemingly randomly hooked up with my 2nd favourite drummer… ahhh! I told lots of people who weren’t interested. And now I’ve told all of you!
Is it true Graham is related to Ronan Keating? If it is I’m not surprised T? never really mention it… though maybe they could have reached a whole new market supporting Boyzone… ‘hey kids, this one’s called Neck Freak…’

Re: Garage Gig in Therapy? Live

I think they were going to be playing Edinburgh Liquid Rooms, cos it was up on the tour list first, then changed venues. I just booked tickets for the Garage from some folk called Tickets Scotland. The tour advert in Kerrang says Edinburgh for that day but Im thinking the advert was prepared a while ago before the venue change. At least I hope so!

Re: Tour Poll - Part 2 in Therapy? Live

So, what do you think members of ‘the general public’ will vote for? Troublegum stuff? Singles (Loose, Gimme back my brain)? Most interesting song title (now there’s a topic for discussion!)?

Re: Tour Poll - Part 2 in Therapy? Live

Tough, tough, tough. But have never heard anything live from my favourite T? album so had to go for Skyward, Innocent X and Dancin with Manson. And, since I’ve only ever seen them do Stories from Infernal Love, A Moment Of Clarity.Would be good to see them play a big epic. Loser cop would be weird and cool, but nevermind. Maybe they should just make the poll list the setlist! Now need to go get ticketsssssssssssss

Re: Guest appearances in General Therapy? Topics

Alan, could be wrong but I think Andy did backing vocals on Jonestown, ie “Your the jesus that didn’t get nailed”, quite a Cairns-type lyric really. i actually quite like the t? remix of that song when in the right mood.

Guest appearances in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Guest appearances

Hello, long time listener, first time caller, and all that jazz.
Since I just signed on thought I’d better throw in a new topic, probably been done before but I was listening to Get ur Groove on, the wildhearts song, yesterday, whats the best track a therapy? member has guest-appeared on? Always had a soft spot for Jonestown Mind by The Almighty actually.
