Re: Making an arse myself at the Bristol DJ set in Therapy? Live

Haha… well, I’m pretty certain its not true ;-)

I was so drunk, though. When the taxi arrived at my house, I stumbled out of it and into a hedge. It took me three attempts to get out of the hedge without falling straight back in… I felt very crap the next day ;-)

Making an arse myself at the Bristol DJ set in Therapy? Live

Title: Making an arse myself at the Bristol DJ set

I went to the T? DJ set at Club UK in bristol.. and it was really good! Good music, cheap Stella Artois (for a club), and my fave band.

Early on in the night I approached Andy at the DJ booth and got him to sign a poster for me.. He smiled and enthusiastically signed it and got Neil and Michael to do the same. I told him that apart from the chorus to “Perish the thought”, NANE absolutely kicked ass, and he smiled and said thanks.

A bit later I bumped into Michael as I was leaving the bogs. Now, by this time I’d had a LOT of beer, and my brain was severely disconnected from my voice. What I wanted to do was talk to him about how it was nice to hear a lot of his playing on NANE, and how I love seeing Therapy? live. However, it seems that when I get really drunk, the voice when disconnected from my brain goes into “pathetic sycophant mode” and I blurted out something crap about how if I played bass, he’d be my idol. I mean really. Not only is that not true, its just a really idiotic thing to say. Then some guy came over who didn’t recognise Michael and started talking to me about System of a Down (I was wearing a SOTD t-shirt, you see), and Michael took this opportunity to escape the drunken nonsense I was spouting. *sigh* I hope if I get to meet him again I can talk like a normal human being…

Later I spoke to Neil who was also really nice, and when I said I preferred his drumming to Grahams he seemed pleased, but said that he found it tougher to learn the songs Graham had drummed on than the ones Fife had, on the whole, and then I talked about seeing T? play live.

So.. all in all, it turns out that not only have Therapy? produced my all time favourite album, and a bunch of other really great albums, they’re all nice guys who seem very happy to engage with their fans and its really great.

Thanks Andy, Michael and Neil for a great night and enduring my drunken ramblings so nicely!

Re: Therapy? at the bigger festivals in Therapy? Live

And not only is this thread almost completely without a point, its also in the wrong forum. I blame the heat.

Therapy? at the bigger festivals in Therapy? Live

Title: Therapy? at the bigger festivals

I was at download on the sunday and saw quite a few T?-shirts.. which was nice. I’ve never seen T? at a festival, but I would really like to.

I know they’re playing some “extreme sports” festival soon, but you have to buy a whole weekend ticket for it, and they’re the only thing there i’d want to see :(

So basically what I’m saying is, I would love to see T? to play Ozzfest, Download or Reading… maybe their next album will be big enough to make that happen.

But then again, I wouldn’t want them to stop playing tiny pubs where the stage is just a few inches from the crowd. I guess I want T? to be big enough to play big festivals, but not so big they don’t play tiny pubs…
